One you shouldn't need a map that's why there is waypoints two it's just the beta so not everything was accessible and Three the reason they never one shotted the lvl 2 dregs are because of the anti farming and to keep gameplay smooth for the lower levels

at the very, very least, the Compass in the top-left should have a North indicator on it. I too, was frustrated by the lack of an ingame map for Explorable Mode. Everywhere that I discovered in Explorable mode was by accident because I could never figure out which direction I was going in.
