It's only a permanent placement of ink that'll degrade as you age. I understand the purpose of some ink with a deeper meaning behind it, but the majority of tattoos that people get are outright dumb. There are probably better ways to release your inner artistic vision than have you body look like a 4 year old decided to draw over it as you grow old. To express yourself? See above. Because it's hot? I guess people have their kinks, but if it's self esteem your after it should probably be sought out elsewhere than to please others. For attention? You got me there. Go ahead, shoot. I know the topic can be convoluted into a straw hat argument where you can replace the subject of tattoos with some other objects of discussion and it would fit the same topic as this one (i.e. Why would you *insert subject here*). Let's focus on tattoos here. If I wanted to use another subject as a piece of discussion, I'd make a thread on that.
