>Intimidate, bully and use any underhanded tactic you can think of to get your way

Pretty much. They shouldn't be there full stop, there existence was going to be enforced by violence from the very start. It's also full of awful people. Hamas are awful as well but their attitudes exist due to the presence and actions of Israel.
