Beards? Sure. A lot more customization in general. Not just beards. There are a lot of people I've gotten to talk to that look at Destiny and wonder aloud at the lack of customization for the characters. More face shapes to depict more variation of the different races, for example, is one I've heard a lot of people hope for.
I also hear a lot of want fo rmore hair styles, obviously people want to beards too, and more tattoo options. If we're adding in beards as an extra for males some extra option for females, as well, to balance things out. Piercings.
One of the most common suggestions to deal with the face shape issue, is just to add Black Desert/Sims 4 style face sections that you can click and hold then move the mouse to mold the face (very neat technology, check out BDO or the Sims 4 to see what I mean). More skin colors in general. A pale skin tone and and a true ebony skin tone are really lacking for the Humans. More robotic pieces and accents for the Exo. I don't know what the Awoken need, but "more" is a general here. More face scars for males, ANY face scars for females and that "blind" eye option to be a selection all its own under the eye options that you can apply separately to either gender.
More color options in every single category.
A decal system not unlike All Points Bulletin would solve the tattoo option issue, and even the scar issue option. If you could apply it too armor as well, it would be great. For those not familiar APB lets you project different shapes and colors onto body/clothing/cars and mix match them to create complex designs and shapes that are then saved as a single decal. Then you can project it onto the skin or armor texture and shrink or enlarge it and move it around the body until you find a location to save it at.
