Its funny how u ps users wanna bring up xbox being down for an hour what about when ur servers were hacked not once but twice and were down for weeks #GTFO
Didn't a toddler find a flaw in the Xbox one? GTFOH
English
-
The kid found a way of bypassing parental controls. Which was corrected immediately. VERY different to PSN's controversial hack situation, which was not corrected for months. Nice try though
-
sony gave away free games to compensate and are also about to pay out compensation to those whos security was breached XBL gets a whammy and MS offer you five bucks off Titanfail MS, a caring, sharing company.....
-
They give away LBP or some other old games lol. ''Hey guys, sorry PSN been down for chuffing months, sorry your email accounts may have been breached, sorry your bank details could have potentially ended up in the hands of hackers...to say sorry here is LBP'' Yeah Sony handled it great alright. Xbox one gets a parental lock bypass, and its fixed immediately as it was a simple coding error. I cant see how you are comparing the two at all. Why would MS owe anybody anything for a loophole being pointed out which they fixed right away? Derp I was affected by the PSN Hacking btw, i own a ps3 too. The two situations couldnt have been further apart though in severity. People hang on the fact it was a toddler that found the XB flaw...but did you see how? he randomly hit spacebar... anybody couldve found that by accident, thats why they are called loopholes
-
PSN was free at the time, we lost no money. whenever XBL goes down you are PAYING FOR IT
-
Oh because it was free at the time its ok then? And XBL has never been down for months...infact ive never seen it down for more than a few hours....so whats your point? Destiny beta launch crashed PSN, ....Was you upset? Of course not because its totally different than it being hacked and down for months...
-
WERE you upset is the proper format

-
I find it rater amusing you all keep saying psn crashed when it didn't it was facing heavy traffic due to so many downloading the beta at once simple it happened to alot of people on both system I honesty don't know why it was brought up let alone why this thread is still up. All of you sometimes really need to shut the -blam!-ing hell up about this my epeen is bigger then yours because i play x system bullshit and actually worry about real problems that effect all of us as consumers in gaming but no lets keep the that epeen war going.
-
Gtfo of my notifications, if you cared to read further down, my latest reply stated the whole convo was going nowhere. And you keep playing with your epeen, just not in my notifications
-
It was free, i lost nothing money wise, why should loosing somethign i do not pay for bother me
-
Did you have a credit card or bank card on your PSN account? If so, you did lose something and should be concerned about it. Yes PSN was free but that is also what caused the major security breach, just saying.
-
This was so long ago, when the PSN servers were still very crummy, that being said, they were targeted for a reason, any system can be taken down, just the people who did it chose not to target Sony. To top that off though, PC master race you plebs. *sips tea*
-
Edited by Lord Vetinari: 7/27/2014 1:08:24 PMNope, at that point i had never bought digital copy or DLC I like physical copies and PS3 games then were not exactly DLC heavy, i woudl hold out for GOTY editions
The kid found a way of bypassing parental controls. Which was corrected immediately. VERY different to PSN's controversial hack situation, which was not corrected for months. Nice try though
Also idiots try to make a valid point out of the hacking situation. It could've happened to anyone. Remember when it happened to Target? It also happened to Amazon and a few other companies so this hacking you're talking about means nothing.
-
Hypocrite much? You are saying the hacking that happened means nothing as it could happen to ''anyone'' but yet see it fit to point out a minor flaw xbox experienced, which also could happen to anyone, lol. PSN being hacked was not just a case of PSN being down, bank details, email accounts and other info was all accessible to the hackers, if you think thats a comparable to a parental lock loophole then you are bonkers.
-
If a GOOD hacker wanted to they could hack xbox but instead they probably went for playstation since xbox is such a piece of shit.
-
...Or they picked the one that was easier to breach. Thats a weird ass theory to the situation you have there though, in either fact of the matter

Let's try this again. Both systems have flaws. No matter how you look at it just remember that a flaw is a flaw even if one is worse than the other it does not by any means alter the fact that a flaw is a flaw, the same way that an orange is still an orange or comparing an apple to an apple. Hacking can happen to anyone especially since this world is run by computers which have flaws and vulnerabilities. I am not a hypocrite I am simply stating that to bring up hacking obviously serves no purpose. If people really cared for it then why has the PlayStation 4 outsold Xbox for the past 6 months. You said that Microsoft fixed their flaw correct? Sony fixed their flaw also so what point are you trying to make?
-
Perhaps you should word your replies more clearly. You started off by calling me an idiot. You then pointed out the hacking could happen to anyone. Then to top it off you made it out like it was a trivial matter and it wasnt. Comparing the parental lock flaw with the PSN hack...aye ai aye

Edited by D4NG3ROUS1985: 7/27/2014 10:19:34 AMNice edit there, we both know you only had it as ''Sigh...everything I said went well over your head.'' by the time i replied. And you are really switching the goal posts here now by bringing sales figures into it. That doesnt not affect the PSN hack nor the X1 flaw found.

Oh well, i feel the convo has hit a dead end either way
Oh well, i feel the convo has hit a dead end either way
I agree with you there.

Nice try though
Nice try? The hacking didn't happen to me as I have been on Xbox 360 for the past 8 years lol. I just recently bought a ps4 because Xbox went to shit.
