Do you think the halo franchise is doing better or worst with 343 and which company did you prefer more?

From a story/campaign perspective? 343. From a gameplay perspective? I'm not too fussed. From an MP perspective? Bungie.

Edited by Pfhortnite: 9/2/2014 2:25:52 AM343i is better with lore, Bungie was better with community/matchmaking. 343i is doing better though, so hopefully they'll beat Bungie at their own game eventually.

Everybody says that 343 sucks because there use too use to bungie, I understand being a bungie fanboy but 343 is trying, almost everybody hates halo 4 but as a game it's amazing, just not the best halo game, so please give 343 a chance if MCC and halo 5 are bad ... AS A GAME, then judge 343. :)
-
Worse. Halo was best when bungie made it. If halo 5 was being made by bungie i would give it a chance.

343 SUUUUCKS D:
-
nobody cares 343 sucks
-
Well considering they have only made on game it would be hard to say. We will see after they finished their trilogy
-
Well the question is kind of worded incorrectly, since Bungie isn't working on Halo at all any more and it's only 343i....but I know what you mean. The answer to who has done better with the series is Bungie, hands down and no doubts about it. 343i's run with the series has been nothing but garbage (story would be fine if it wasn't Halo and were it's own series or something, it's just as Halo that it sucks big, hairy donkey balls) and isn't even Halo. So naturally Bungie is better by far...though that kind of goes without saying since it's their[/ creation and series to begin with. 343i has no -blam!-ing clue what they're doing and they're only taking Halo further and further away from what it is and turning it into a simplified mockery of itself >_>
-
Bungie did better. Without a doubt

Edited by TGI Skuldier: 8/9/2014 10:36:48 AMEh....when 343i has their trilogy under their belt, then we can talk. Its hard to compare a 'series' to basically one and a half games. Even then its going to be hard to compare because by that time, Bungie's series of Halo games will be very dated I'm sure. I'll have to wear the nostalgia monocle instead of the goggles at that point to try and stay unbiased.
-
I think we'll need to play Guardians and its follow-up to have enough of a sample set to compare.

When it comes to a story and a weapon sandbox 343 has them on that. Besides CE and ODST Bungie's Halo's were random for the story. Halo 2 and 3 didn't get a focus until your half way in the game and Reach was completely random until the last two levels. With Halo 4 you have a clear focus until you hit new objectives. It wasn't you're doing something one level and the next it's some random event. For the sandbox Bungie just did a shit job with it after CE. It has a lot of useless weapons. They went full retard on the duel wielding weapons and when it comes to the assault rifle it's just shit. Non-power weapon wise the only ones that can do something are the precision ones. With Halo 4 every weapon is useful. In Bungie's Halo's if you have an assault rifle going up against a person with a precision weapon you are screwed unless you can do the melee thing. With Halo 4 it's a lot more balanced.
-
343 is better with story Bungie was better with gameplay. But hey, 343 only made one game, I'll have to wait for Halo 5 and 6 or whatever
-
Depends on how you see it. Bungie before Reach? Then Bungie was better. After Reach? Then 343i is better. I feel that if Bungie would have continued with Halo it would have turned into Destiny anyways. But labeled Halo and everybody would be hating on it. I'm glad 343i took over, they're doing a great job now after Halo 4 fixing mistakes and serving the community.

people still complain after a year or two lol?

Halo sucks

Edited by l Am Iron Guy: 8/11/2014 3:17:01 PMIn my opinion, 343i is doing a worse job. I really wanted to like halo 4, but I ended up hating it. The campaign seemed fun the first time through, but I have absolutely no desire to replay it. All of the other halo game I replayed the shit out of. When it comes to multiplayer, I had to force myself to play it after the first month because I was convinced that if I played it enough I might start liking it and stop having buyers regret. The only thing I liked about it was spartan ops. From a fiction standpoint, they are doing a good job supporting it and connecting it but I don't like the way the story is going. The new books are very forgettable and don't seem as halo like as the old ones. The only thing that 343I has done that I really like is HCEA and hopefully MCC.
-
Bungie by far did the best for halo. 343 sucked balls on halo ruined the francize for me. I can't wait for the master chief collection because halo 2 was the best of the line up with halo 3 a close second. So I say bungie did halo justice
-
Halo's story and Chief's arc evolved into something greater. Thanks to Chronarch's analysis, I've come to appreciate where the lore is going and how 343 is handling such a difficult task. They honestly do love Halo, it shows. But multiplayer was a no no. Too much towards other popular shooters, putting at second place what makes Halo unique and fun. They won't make this mistake again; the fair starts and early beta are proof of that.
-
343 made a few bad calls with Halo 4. But overall, it wasn't a terrible game. They receive so much backlash after making one Halo game so far, not including Spartan Assualt, the arcade game. I get a great vibe off of 343, and think their doing great work. They've got their feet on the ground now. I expect really good things in the future.
-
Halo 4 had the worst campaign of the series, the promethiens, with the sole exception of the knight, were annoying and not at all fun to kill. Spartan ops is a joke, and the multiplayer was mediocre. The story itself however, was easily the best in the series, turning the stoic brick master chief into an actual character. After seeing how there handling the mcc and what we know of halo 5, I have faith in 343
-
After a terrible start with Halo 4, I feel that 343 is finally getting their shit together. Halo 4 is kinda fixed and The Master Chief Collection drops this fall. And finally were getting Halo live action stuff.

If u play halo reach and want to join a clan msg Daniielthebeast over xbox live to join anyone welcome

Edited by Red Rum Rebel 0: 8/28/2014 8:23:58 PMWas halo 4 a bad game. No it wasn't bad it just wasn't a good halo game to me and most fans for a few reasons 1. Default sprint ability 2. Equipable plasma pistol 3. Orbital drops 4. Un needed vehicle nerfs 5. Lack of vehicles 6. A lot Generally useless weapons( most forerunner weapons) 7. Horrible color palette 8. For the campaign if had some good moments but overall it was lacking in scale and originality (that god awful on rails ship flying section that was basically in insult to the long night of solace) and the boring mammoth section plus final boss But it's kinda early to judge 343 this was there first halo game now their giving the fans want they want with the MCC and general great additions to the franchise
-
343 has potential to make a mindblowing halo. Halo 4 was good though
-
At the state the franchise is in right now, I think it's worse. However, I do truly think 343 is trying to improve.
