Halo 2 and Halo 3 were a lot of fun and probably had the best multiplayer, but Halo:Reach had the best all-around game experience. I loved being able to use my own Spartan in Campaign and being able to see him even in the cutscenes, I loved the flying levels like Long Night of Solace and New Alexandria... there was also the highly-customizable Firefight 2.0, Forge World, and improved Theater mode.
When it comes to Halo, you have players who gravitate more towards single-player and co-op, and others who gravitate more towards competitive multiplayer. Thing is, Reach had something for everyone. Halo 2 and Halo 3, for the most part, only had multiplayer.
