The Singen-C auto rifle is just ridiculous. It unloads lead like a wood chipper, it has 40+ bullets in one clip, it's amazing accurate (especially when you get the upgrade of better accuracy while ADS), and the reload time in extremely quick (especially with quick reload arm armor).
This is simply a balancing issue. I simply believe that if anyone I encounter in PVP were to engage me in combat WITHOUT the Shingen-C, they probably have a 10% chance of living. The weapon just shreds through people's health bars and the only downfall of the weapon is ammo consumption! I feel that with such a high cap mag, maybe the accuracy should be more erratic? Or maybe lower down the damage a bit more. Because who would use a pulse rifle, or even a scout rifle ever with the existence of the Shingen rifle obliterating all in PVP?
Thanks Bungie!

Try using the Sahara Ar1 common auto rifle. Same fire rate as necrochasm and more damage to boot
-
True but the Galahad E is even more OP
-
You are stupid, it's not a clip, a clip is what the m1 grand used, a clip is where the bullets feed down, its called a magazine because the bullets go upward into the gun, stop saying its a clip.
-
After all, its named after a famous Samurai from the 16th century Japan: Shingen Takeda, the Tiger of Kai.

Necrobumb

I had a level 9 Shingen-C, so I never got to test it. Instead I mostly use another auto rifle that probably had a bit more kickback than the Shingen-C but was fun to use nonetheless. With the servers down, I can no longer recall the name (starts with a C). I did take a screenshot of it on my phone, but the name wasn't included. I believe it started with an "A".

Yes you are right let's get some balance between these bottom tier junk rifles that will be scrap by lvl10. I mean if crap rifles are not balanced how will the rest of the exotics that are far superior be balanced right?
-
I agree with FE RnKmaster, the Singen-C is awkward at long range, like AR are suppose to be, and close range, the head shots require a lot more skill. Also, i dont believe the theory of making something weaker to buff others relatively. Pulse rifles just dont call people for the low damage/second and high recoil.

Edited by DEZARATH: 7/27/2014 12:48:12 PMIt will fail against level 15 PVE enemies. PVP just needs to grow a pair and deal with powerful weapons coming in and going out of matches in Destiny's Crucible. Shingen C. Is OP Bungie wahhhh.... By 9-25-2014 there will be twenty guns and probably eight vehicles making PVP players who can't get over the curve hound Bungie to cater to them because their egos can't stand being denied. If PVP players had any brains they demand Bungie to create a Specific set of guns for PVP only straight down barrel. Instead of pissing off PVE players trying to unlock more powerful weapons meant to deal with bullet sponges on crack and Raids by nerfing their tool sets.

Its not that op did you see its impact?? It bearly has something the other asualt riffles are much stronger then that one no gun is over powerfull i have got so many kills with scout riffle that i wnd up on top of my team many times. Just study your weapon and practise a bit with it and you will see the guns arw fine

i've seen games where everyone had auto rifles (shingen-c but also cydonia) and the only way to defeat them was with the heavy machine guns. Auto rifles can kill in less than .9 seconds, scout rifles only take the lead in long distances, only found on the moon. Titan with shingen is seriously overpowered
-
Tons of complaints by people who do not use the gun and get trapped at close quarters against it. The weapons are well balanced so far.
-
I find it silly people ask for nerf from bottom tier weapons. There are so many better guns to be found each with special boosts and bonuses, some we haven't seen yet. I found a lvl10 pulse rifle that has a bonus "if 1 bullet of the 3 round burst misses it fires a fourth". weapons could balance themselves out.
-
All you idiots asking for nerfs need to ask yourselfs how will this effect pve, and iron banner? If you do a nerf of any kind it will have an effect the other aspects of the game as well.

Edited by Uncreative Name: 7/27/2014 4:44:39 PMYou can go to my thread about the Shingen-C. It has about 70+ comments and has been active since the 19th. There's plenty of discussion about balancing. Specifically primary weapons. There are threads that have been talking about this issue since the pre-beta on PS4.

Actually, I noticed that sometimes the "Reactive Reload" ability on this gun doesn't work. Of course, if it did, then it really would be OP. If you notice, GentlEman, the Shingen doesn't excel at long-range combat and actually can be a bit awkward at close range, too. I've been destroyed at range by scout rifle users more times than I wish to count. Plus, that awesome damage output only applies if you can get a steady stream of head shots. So I think it's balanced.
