This is merely a cosmetic change that won't affect you at all, but would help new players.
Red/Bravo taking over a control point presents a conceptual error. The developers are associating two different meanings to one color. Example: imagine you have never played this game or any fps. Imagine this like a question on your SATs if red is capturing point B, is red the enemy or is red the bravo team taking the point? This presents an issue. You can't answer the question based on the information given, and just because you get used to it doesn't change the fact that it is wrong.
THINK
The game just presented you with a red banner and called you the bravo team. How is this relevant if the points I capture dont turn red? Why have the team colors be red and blue if you are going to implement traditional blue = team and red = enemy mechanics. In fact, why have colors at all? Just call them alpha and bravo and don't give them banner colors that don't even do anything.
Or an easier solution is to just change the alpha/bravo colors in the bottom corner of the HUD to two different colors.
EDIT: Dumbed down post.

Edited by Shaun: 7/27/2014 9:51:46 AMAh. Kids these days. I guess you've all gotten used to it. Teacher: A square is a rectangle, but a rectangle isn't always a square. Kid: so? I'm talking about conceptual based educational psychology. I could not possibly explain this on a forum. Let's just leave it at the bravo/alpha colors at the bottom right of the HUD should be black & white. If this is the case, teachers & psychologists would rejoice noting that one color isn't sharing two meanings, and the rest of the population would never even know the difference :)

Didnt confuse me. Its pretty traditional to have a red vs blue scheme. And the red for enemies/warning is pretty common
-
they should enable friendly fire :-)

I'd like the idea of and option for your own screen to display team colors or not, as I also find it difficult to differentiate between enemies and friendlies when there are four titans with nearly the exact same armor running around and two aren't friendly.
-
When I get confused I notice the white triangle points to the team I'm on that round.

Not having team colors is one of the best things about this game. Now you can show off your armor that you grinded for for 4 hours and spent 2k glimmer on a shader to color it how you wanted it to be colored... This isn't halo... Please don't ask for team colors
-
You rack disciprine. ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)
-
The control point markers are always Red for the opposing team and Blue for your team, regardless of which team you are on...

Anyone?

Shameless bump.
