In the beginning of the beta when your "ghost" finds you, at one point he says "And you... Well, you've been dead a long time." What exactly does this mean?
Were you a guardian that fell in battle a long time ago and only now does another ghost "reanimate" you? Or I guess respawn you.. Are guardians even truly alive in the first place? What the heck IS a Guardian? Can they be dead for good? Will we finally get to die a real death when the darkness is defeated and we're no longer needed (if it is defeated..)?
It's a bit early to know for sure I know, but what do you think is going on?

They were dead for a long time and awakened by the ghosts from the Traveler
-
What I think is your guardian was alive during the golden age and died around the time that The Traveler sacrificed itself.

What a human thing to ask. As a member of the glorious and eternal machine empire such concepts are beneath the exo.

Ask the traveler

Interestingly, one of the Warlock Bonds I got poses this question. It asks, since you've been recreated with the light of the Traveler, Can you even be considered Human, or made by Human hands any longer?
