Should the level cap be higher?
Do you like 20 being the max level in Destiny? It's similar to Fallout and Borderlands in terms of the level cap. What would you like? 20? 30? 50? 100?

The level cap is not 20, you can acquire motes of light that push you past 20.

I have a feeling Bungie will raise the level cap as the release more and more DLC, but thats just my opinion.

Edited by AdunSaveMe: 7/23/2014 9:03:48 AMMore levels means more spacing between decent level rewards like new abilities and more pointless things like a couple of extra stats or some glimmer unless there's enough content to go with it. Level cap ain't everything.

They will expand it as the game progresses and its nice to have a lower level starting point than a crazy high level which makes it feel like a massive grind. Hopefully, like some of the Alpha levels, it will be really difficult and enjoyable. The beta is very easy and therefore leveling is very easy. As long as I don't have to pay for extra levels via in-game purchases.

I'm fine with 20. Just because it's 20 doesn't mean there won't be a lot of content or added content for level 20 with higher difficulty.

There's been discussion on it, I'll try and find the source. The low lvl cap is supposed to be pretty temporary, and should raise up over time and with content. I thought the same thing as you, but they don't want it too high for pvp reasons. At some point the fights would become too long and tedious with mass amounts of health and armor.

You know how once you get the stats you want then lock them in? I think you'll be able to lvl higher after that.

6 RepliesHonestly a high level cap is nothing but artificial inflation of a game, better to have 20 level that means something then 50 level where only a 3rd actually means anything.
