Destiny Modders?
Has anyone else come across any Modders? I have a buddy that works for a gaming company and he told me that Bungie confirmed that some modders have ruined the Beta multiplayer. Let me know guys. Also personally i believe my clan as well has been into a modding match.

Isnt the game constantly checking in? We were told internet is required to play which means there is communication between the host and users platform which would discredit any claims of modding. Unless you were to decode the game files and play on your own but id imagine that would require a pc version of the game which hasnt been released yet. Everytime you boot up the game you have to connect to Bungies server and while this could just be to avoid people rolling back saves its also a form of drm, if the games getting info from the servers it stands to reason the servers also checking to see if that copy of the games legit.

3 RepliesBased on the fact of what modding is its highly unlikely that people on a mass level have actually already begun altering code for destiny when its been accessable for such a short time im not saying there are 0 modders out there but ive seen people scream mod or hack whenever they think they shouldnt have died in games of all kinds and the truth is 60 percent of the time its just an excise why they are bad or got killed and like 35 percent of the time its latency or lag issues or a bug not someone hacking so that only leaves a small amount of times that its actually hacking and. Modding it is easy to scream modder when something you dont understand happens but without hard proof i tend to chalk it up as lag or bugs

4 RepliesBased on my experience there are no modders. What you think its modder/hackers/cheaters is actually the serious lag issues prevailing about the beta. Believe modders are in game all you want but that doesn't make them actually exist. Most of us with actual logical thought processes realize that its the lag/netcode issues instead of claiming someone is cheating.

How exactly are the ruining it? Are you sure it isn't just the latency and netcode issues?Because they are rampant and a serious issue in this beta.

That's the point of the Beta, to point out the bugs so Bungie can fix them. I thought it was pretty obvious what's the purpose of this Beta.

I (and from reading the forums many others) have noticed hits sometimes register late, but I suspect this has more to do with latency. I experienced this even stronger during iron banner, which led me to belive that the cause is possibly the high server load.

9 RepliesWell unless you're playing on the last gen consoles record that shit and post it. I'm not saying that it's impossible but I'm not going to take your word on it. I've played very few crucible matches but in those matches I've seen some weird shit happen most likely due to latency. So in summary post some proof or just stfu.

If fact others are reporting similar experiences. I haven't seen it myself but i don't doubt it. Also to people calling this guy an idiot. Based on what? What in his comment involved his intelligence, he said what he saw that's it. He didn't make some long dumb argument he just stated what he experienced. What grounds do you have to even say he is wrong? can you prove that there is not a single modder on all of destiny? No you can't so you have no proof. Stop trying to act like you are smarter than anyone. You just end up acting like the real idiots.

3 RepliesI have seen some odd stuff going on too, like getting shot twice and being dead although at full health. Or emptying an entire into a guys head and him not taking any damage but then killing me with one or two shots. Close range with a shotgun one to two shots is understandable, but not 20+ yards away and with an auto rifle. It's just sad the number of people that can't play competitive multiplayer without hacking. As for the fact of how short a time the beta has been out, CoD Ghosts hacks were made before launch of the game, so it's possible very sad though.

Yes, I've come across this type of problem more than once since the beta started. One occasion this guy I would spend an entire clip on would simply refuse to take a single hit, I would get maybe one hit marker and the corresponding damage number. He would then kill me pretty quickly and I know I wasn't having a lag issue because I was getting kills with other players without any problem the entire match. It would take about 3 people hosing the guy down with a stream of bullets to kill him, and even then, he'd manage to cause all sorts of hell. Another one would basically kill me in 2 shots with a primary weapon everytime. Now, I've used Scout Rifles and Hand Cannons in PVP and I've done consecutive headshots with them and it usually takes 3 or more, so I don't really think it's his gun, though it could be.

The only odd thing I saw was someone like zipping across when I tried to shoot him, still murdered the dude, I suppose he was lagging.

3 RepliesPretty sure I've ran into a couple lag switchers whilst playing with my friends, we'd all notice he would be playing normally then start walking into a wall and get some kills. I'm assuming it's normal for a beta though, haha right guys?

you know you can look at stats of matches back on this site right... if this would be true you can just look old matches up where people would have 0 deaths, tons of caps and kills. which with caps would pretty much be impossible if he did it every game... that way you would have a name and people could look up the person and see for themselves..

11 RepliesYes. Come across people who basically had god mode and for sure had aimbots. How do I know they had aimbots? They would spin and rapidly fire, killing everyone in the area and would snap to people who were to their sides when alone. As far as god mode goes, they would get hit and instantly regen. I mean INSTANTLY. They'd also have their super at the start of the map and use it 3 times each match.

8 RepliesI have some issues but I don't know if it is modding but I can die rapidly by a player with a less powerful gun and I'm shooting first. Idk. Also does everyone have two health bar things? The white and red because I think the white is like armor but I takes a hell of a lot of precious time to deplete before I can drop health. Either way I had 2 good games with positive kd and 2 bad ones. I'm not complaining, just wondering if it is a mod or a skill that got unlocked on certain classes. I'm gonna try to get a different weapon set to try again. Maybe the pulse rifle and fusion rifle aren't the best for PvP but they work well enough in campaign. Still curious about those health bars...
