The titans have an ability called unstoppable that makes them incredibly damage resistant while using fist of havoc.
-
ACTUALLY, i think it s the anther way round. the warlock and titan are more powerful than the hunter but not to powerful to be nerfed. the golden gun is pretty useless because on some enemies it needs two shots two take down certain enemies while it only takes one blast/smash to kill them with the titans and warlocks ability. the throwing knife only does a kill on certain enemies with a headshot while is totally the opposite with the titans and warlocks melee punch.
-
I do agree with some of your suggestions expect the golden gun but I feel the hunters melee is weak, I have to melee people twice when the warlock and titan seems to only need 1. Also I hope they make a melee in the back an instant kill because that was something that irritated me.
-
In pve yes he needs a buff... But pvp? Hunter is the most op class in pvp.
-
I play the hunter class and can say without a doubt it is not out classed. The thing about the hunter class is that it requires this magical thing called skill. If you dont have the skill required to play hunter than go and play one of the other classes.
-
Nerfing the other classes and boosting one is going to throw things off balance. Nerfing OR boosting is probably going to make for a better improvement.
-
Disagree on Golden Gun, it's fine. Grenades though I 100% agree. I use a Hunter and stopped bothering with grenades at all in PVP. I had a better chance of killing players by trying to push them off a cliff than using a swarm grenade. Absolutely useless.
-
If anything, the hunter seemed the most powerful in PvP but personally I thought they were all pretty well balanced when all was said and done.
-
Man how bad do u suck>? how much u suck? wats ur price?
-
The hunter class is fine as is. Maybe the hunter class doesn't fit your play style. Don't change anything but your class cuz it's a user error not a game error. .
-
Hunter for me just fine! Do not disturb it!
-
Sounds like you just can't play hunter. The grenades are fine, very useful in PvP if you're chasing an enemy down. If you can't use the golden gun effectively, then that's on you. The golden gun guarantees 3 kills if used correctly, unlike the titans or warlocks which require close proximity to each target. Throwing knife/ grenade combo is frequently used by hunters, try that if you can't shoot.
-
Not true the grenade only takes one to kill but it does take longer than I would like
-
It just sounds like you're not good with the Hunter and should try something else. Both Warlocks and Titans can die mid super animation. Both Titans and Warlocks can have their teammates wipe out a group right before their super hits. A smart Hunter activates his GG around a corner whilst he sees the enemy team is capping a flag. Long story short, it doesnt need a buff and Warlocks and Ttans dont need to be nerfed. They all have stregths and weaknesses. You just need to figure out how to adapt.

Hunters grenades are OP as hell there swarm grenade takes more than HALF MY HEALTH

I think you forgot how hunter work. That grenade is just prefect. No body say that grenade were made to kill!! XD I love it even it is low damage... Hehehe

Edited by Xelthas: 7/22/2014 2:00:44 PMWell, If you check my account, you'll see that I'm not "looking to get a leg up on other classes". For the grenades: Yep, the nades right now aren't that great BUT once you are able to get the mine, you might not really need the other once anymore. This will give the Hunter great field control, and higher defensive capability. So this issue about the nades is only because of mines not being available yet. It's like where Titans and Warlocks can only control the field where they are at that moment, Hunters can control the field without being there. It will also make it easier watching your back, even more than any type of nade. Golden Gun: I think the timer and amo is fine. On later levels you can have skills, that increases the amount of time of your GG. Then there will be higher bonuses for intellect, so you'll be able to call the GG more often, making it less dramatic to only use it for a single shot. GG is also a good way to destroy tanks, tourrets or moskitos very quickly without wasting time to let others get on you. This is how I mainly use GG on the moon. It's good for clearing a base as well, it's just that you can't jump in like the other 2 classes. Just do 1 at a time. And don't get hasty when it runs out of time and you didn't get all your shots out. Later on you might even get splash damage ! It also has very long range (I once killed a guy on the moon: I was on top of building B and he on top of building A) The Titan: apparently has a buff skill, that boosts his defense when he uses that skill. He just gets a super armor. the animation: has it's + too. Because you can travel through the air during it's animation. It gave me the possibility to enter decently infront of a base that was being taken. (The first time i did it by sheer coincidence, but it's like a glide) GG just isn't a straight forward super as are FoH or NB. And if you can take cover for a sec, you can take down every vehicle quickly. And just them sometimes decide a game. We even get a lower CD (cool down) for picking up amo. My opinion right now is still, that it's very balanced. It's just that our nades aren't as good yet as the others are. The supers are well balanced too. And with further leveling, the Gunslinger will get lot better !

I think it's way to early to be crying nerf this buff that. We are only level 8 and only one PvP mode that favors aoe damage abilities is available.
-
Yes i agree. I like the hunter, being agile and using my fps skill to its full potential. The hunter lets me do this. But the grenade thing really ruins it for me. I barely even use my grenade now, knowing that it barely even scratches my opponnant and using my gun is much more effective. I also think the throwing knife is way underpowered. It takes a lot of skill to hit a moving target with it at a considerable distance, so i think it should gain damage the more speed it gains and the further it travels. I also think a headshot with the throwing knife should be a one shot kill. no matter of the distance (pvp). On the topic of the golden gun, i think you should only have one bullet and if you kill someone you should get the bullet back. If you miss, you will lose the golden gun (no time limit). Thanks for reading.

An area of effect attack when using the GG would be good seeing as you are on fire and fire should hurt other people

Obviously no bungie employee is going to read this because they are too busy making more dlcs to make quick cheap money
-
Hunters need a buff..? They are super op in pvp. Just stop.
-
Very skilled players tend to use the hunter.

Yeah, the hunter's powers are pretty bad, but it's hard to draw conclusions without all powers unlocked. Making the gun available to use as fast as the Warlock casts his nova bomb would be a huge improvement. The class is, I think, intended as a single target DPS specialist. The high agility and HP makes me think it'd be a close range fighter that runs away to recharge shields, but the warlock does it better BC of its powers being close range. The powers, however, aren't good for close range fights and suggest a long range combat style. The hunter sucks, so far, BC it's a close range skirmisher suit with long range powers. The powers need to be changed
