Edited by High Charity: 8/8/2014 5:54:30 PMB.old's layout is significantly better than the Bnext layout. Mobile app prone to not loading pages. Also no dark theme, groups still suck, hash tags still exist, and replies aren't in pages.

My first post did not show up on the list of posts in the section I posted it in, even right after I posted it and looked under 'latest'.

Edited by KingInTheNorth: 7/19/2014 7:53:25 PMMA HALO STATS ARE GONE!! Every time I reload a forum or change it the sorting always changes back to trending. I'm sure this is a bug as the site did this when it first switched over to B.next but it sure as hell is annoying. The input area for replies to posts is so very small compared to the fullscreen browser that this site basically forces me to use because of how it is displayed. Shit+Enter is annoying as hell. Load times they are everywhere and they are long.

Edited by LogicalHuman: 7/19/2014 3:45:01 PMThis is for the mobile app. For me, if you unfollow a subforum, a weird message pops up: http://i.imgur.com/SSTpp6S.jpg Also: If you look at people's recent activities, and click on the theme picture, the top most activities will disappear.

Edited by Maverick: 7/19/2014 6:11:09 AMNot sure if this will just fall to deaf ears but I might as well speak my piece regardless. When I first saw the update, I was actually impressed and thought it looked great. The thread I made was actually the second one to be posted after the maintenance and was meant as a joke. If I would have known how overwhelmingly negative and unhelpful the storm to come was going to be, I never would have posted it. There are, however, many many problems with the website other than "muh dark theme". Everyone who thinks the light theme is the primary problem seriously needs to reevaluate their priorities. It's been almost three days and still nothing quite works right. Aside from what's mention in the OP, there are some other obnoxious problems: > Clicking on usernames does nothing half the time > Clicking on a topic after searching by using a key word just takes you to an error page > Searching for a hash tag just takes you to "All Topics" > Scrolling doesn't work half the time > Using bold, italics, underline, quote, etc. doesn't work half the time > Trending topics > Clicking on forums directs you straight to #Destiny > Post history only shows the last four posts/likes and nothing else > Other users 'Followed Groups' list just shows my list > Once a thread showed responses that belonged in a different thread These should cover most of the problems I've encountered so far, but I haven't been spending much times on these forums recently because of these problems. I'm hoping all of these are just bugs which should be easily fixed. However I do have some problems with some of the non-bug features: > Forum/Group navigation is abysmal > Once again groups are hung out to dry with an insufficient amount of features > Pinned threads should be moved > The new ban system is poorly thought-out and will prove to be as inept as the "make your own experience"/muting campaign > Thread percentages make no absolute sense I think I've already said everything positive about this update that I can. It looks alot better. But once again we're left with another downgrade and I'm left to wonder whether or not I should just leave.

Edited by ThankGod4Words: 7/19/2014 7:02:11 AMTo those who do not have the "Dark Theme" I win huhuhuhuhuhuhuhu Edit: I posted this at around 2:30 AM EST, but it states I posted it 21hrs 30min ago (as of 3:01 AM EST) Something seems incredibly broken here

Edited by Gr33n: 7/19/2014 3:46:23 AMIt's been said already, but Dark Theme, please. Also: When I scroll back to the top of the page quickly, the Forum's banner slides down too slowly, and you can see a blank gray area behind it, just kinda seems off. Also, scrolling down or up slowly makes the menu bar at the top fade to or from black very suddenly. On Group Walls, I am unable to scroll the entire page down to move the banner off the screen. I'm on a fairly low-res screen (only 800px tall), and so I can only see one or two posts at a time because the banner takes up so much space. You should be able to click on a banner to go to the forum it is attached to. It is such an obvious place to click, and it seems like the first place to try when trying to go back. The "Followed Tags" sidebar is too big. I usually have web pages up on about 2/3 of my screen, and that sidebar is almost half the screen. Private Groups need work. Positive changes were promised back when the site updated last time, and they are still in the exact same, sad state they were then. We need the ability to add different levels of moderation, especially for the larger groups on the forum. The menu bar at the top of the screen doesn't scroll left or right with the rest of the page, all of it doesn't fit on my screen unless I maximize my browser. There should be a faster way to get to the forum of a group. On the last site, there was a very easy to access button that took you right to it. Now, you have to go to Groups, then find the group, then go to the forum from there. I shouldn't have to load three webpages to get where I need. All the banner images are way too zoomed in. The bulk of the images are all cut off for seemingly no reason, and they are incredibly blurry because they are so blown up. I see the aesthetic that is trying to be achieved, but it could be accomplished in conjunction with image clarity. At the moment, it looks lazy, like they were thrown in position because they were just sitting on the hard drive. The bottom of the screen is too bare. The comments on a thread go all the way to the very very bottom of the window. If the last commenter has replies, not only is the "# replies" link partially faded away, but it's so low that it makes the dock on my macbook pop up to cover it up. Even just a plain footer would be preferable there, some sort of border. Also, a bug I'm sure you've already heard about: when you click on a user's name in the comments, the popup appears at the top of the comments page, so you have to scroll all the way up to see it. And the preview button shows different newlines than the post does. When I previewed this, each paragraph was a line apart. When it posted, it was a clustered paragraph with no line breaks. I went through and added a shift+enter to each line break and now they're two spaces apart each... Not sure what's going on there. Lastly, Dark Theme, please.

Edited by Beewaxers: 7/18/2014 5:31:23 PMThe Clan forum is to the left now? Now, come on... That don't even make any sense. Also if the webteam sees this, I just want to say the Feedback forum was the best idea ever and I'm gonna live there when I either : stop playing or think of something good to complain about. Don't think I'm not trying to think of something. this is my weird way of saying thanks to the great webteam we have, I'm guessing your job is brutal right now <3

Edited by MoonDawg: 7/18/2014 6:06:35 PMAll of the site bugs are killing me. Other than that, I like it. I do wish we had our little Septagon shortcut at the top of the page still though...

Where are titles?
Thanks!
Edited by OrbitTrooper114: 7/18/2014 2:35:45 AMGive us back dark option. Then we'll talk.
-
Oh ya, I don't know if it's just me but I can't follow notifications to the posts on the app :(
-
The notifications seem to be delayed by about 3 hours when they come from private groups, and I'm not getting the red highlight at all. Also, we could really use a "dark" option again.
-
Better than the last one, but not as good as B.old. Some bugs here and there, and the background contrasts heavily against the screen. It's not bad. It's far from it. But it is rough around the edges and needs to be smoothed out.
-
Still looks like any other forum you'd find out there, where B.old was unique and incredibly seamless and stylish. But my biggest gripe is that still nothing has been done for Private Groups. Actually scratch that, my biggest gripe is that nothing has been done for Private Groups that people have been asking for for over a year now. Features that shouldn't have been removed in the first place. Bungie claims they love their community so much but they don't do absolute shit for it.
-
So much wasted space and so many superfluous pages to navigate. Also, what are the percentages next to thread titles?
-
It's shit. Give me back Pre-2013 B.old.

Edited by Goatman: 7/17/2014 8:09:34 AM>bring back the non-eye melting option >make clicking the banner bring me back to the forum >let me set newest topics as default instead of having to click it every goddamn time. >bring back drop down menus >for the love of god, bring back the non-eye melting option >don't make me go through the destiny forum to view offtopic >make the comment text box wider again >did I mention I hate the white? >the side bar is annoying. bring back drop down menus >and finally, why the hell does the entire website look like it was designed as a goddamn mobile app? >oh, and just to drill it in one last time, the white is annoying. EDIT: and why is it that until I edited this, the enter button didn't do its job? Seriously, its like they took all the things people complained about when they made bungie.new in 2013, and instead of fixing it, they just made them all worse as some sort of collective "up yours" to the users.
-
Other than the white layout, I like it.
-
I have no strong feelings one way or the other!

The news is in a different language for me. When I click on one it's back in english.

On my laptop it looks nice. White is a bit much, maybe a different shade of white would be better. Wish it was accessible to all people. But hopefully after Sept 9th, I'll be to busy killing the fallen in a race to become Legend, to care that I can't access Bungie.net away from home.

Its crap
