We all know of one Raid so far, the Vault of Glass, but some newer members may not know of a potential second Raid. It was introduced to us quite some time ago, and I (because of this) think that most Raids, if not all, will be Vaults.
The second Vault we know of, and by that (potential) logic Raid, is Charlemagne's Vault.
Mind you, this is all speculation right now, but it seems likely.
Also, if you enough people need me to explain who Charlemagne is/was, I'll update the OP with information.
In Destiny, Charlemagne is what is known as a Warmind. Warminds are vastly powerful war machines built by the Traveler (Charlemagne is on Mars). The Warminds created the Exos before the Darkness attacked. They seem to have helped us with our defenses during the Collapse.
Ad astra.

Glass was the current hardest Raid, there are others that are easier. Theres two or three at launch but you will have to be properly geared up like in a MMORPG to do them. Now how fair is raid level gear going to be in pvp though lol

I really hope this is the Forge of Gods Raid. I know this is old...

Im more interested in the possible Panty Raid in the Vault of Aphrodite.
-
I was originally thinking it was a strike, but I hope it's a raid. I think 1 raid might make a lot of people get bored quickly.
-
That's pretty cool. I like learning about the lore and speculating what the future holds. Couple questions: 1) Is there a difference between raids and strikes? 2) Do you happen to know if the campaign is single player only or can it be coop?
-
Are Exos living metal? Like Tranformers or a machine with a Gaurdian's soul or spirit, like a golem? I'm thinking of playing one.
-
I have a different take on this. I think the vault on Mars will be the objective of Destiny 1 and be crucial to completing its story. I think the vault on Venus will be bonus.
-
How do raids even work ?. When I saw the vault it looked nothing like raids as they were jumping from invisible pillars . Looked loads of fun though
-
Omg all that lewt!!! EPIC LEWTZ!!!!!! awwwww I just wet myself
-
I just realized playing alpha I found the entrance to a raid in old Russia. I think there is gonna be a lot of raids / vaults.
-
Charlemagne's Vault is in the Dust Palace and recent news of ps exclusive day the palace is a strike so no, Charlemagne's Vault isn't a second raid, it's a location in a strike/open world area.
-
I want to raid Uranus, but in all seriousness I AGREE!
-
I suddenly remembered my Charlemagne, "Let my armies be the rocks and the trees, and the birds in the sky."
-
That seems very plausible. My personal speculation for the second raid is the Hellmouth. Here's my reasoning: We now know a little bit about Destiny's first expansion, titled "The Dark Below". I can't remember the exact description, but it has something to do with facing a hive fortress deep below the surface of the moon. Longtime Destiny followers might notice this sounds a lot like the Hellmouth, which was revealed in one of the game's first trailers. And a raid is definitely a good thing to headline an expansion with. Now, seeing as how Hellmouth was marketed as being in the game so early (it even looked playable), why would they pull it from the retail release and save it for the expansion? Well, it's possible the expansion's description refers to something else, although it definitely sounds like Hellmouth. Or Hellmouth went from being a strike to a raid, it's just as likely as your speculation of Charlemange's vault seeing as how that was originally believed to be a strike as well. Of course this is wild speculation, I could even be proven wrong in the beta if Hellmouth shows up in it. Regardless, let me know what you think!

Based on the name, warminds were probably AI generals. Maybe they would command robotic forces and other defenses like automated turrets. Heck, maybe they were even advanced enough to give humans orders, especially if they were big chess computers. I guess they were named after famous historical commanders? Imagine having to fight a warmind gone rogue...
-
Sounds awesome! Also matches your name... Anyway, sounds cool. Where did you find that info on the Warminds. It sounds really interesting and plausible. Great post!
-
So basically your saying that your an exo's baby?
-
This is going to be epic in a scale that words cannot describe. Will you be waiting for guardians inside the vault with a trick question? :)
-
I cannot wait, but alas I must
-
Yea, the one with Thorne.

Edited by xBreadcrumBx: 7/13/2014 3:27:03 AMEdit: That didn't take long. Sources at the bottom; Yes the vault is a raid, it is within the Dust Palace area on Mars. Before I edited this I made mention of a PS exclusive. As it turns out that is NOT Charlemagne's Vault, but a strike mission within the Dust Palace. That link is also down below.
