If you're approaching a T intersection from the major road about to turn right onto the ending road, and the light is red, do you need to stop before you turn? I was driving my mom home from her parents' house and she pointed out to me that I needed to stop at the light. I told her that I didn't. Who's right in this instance? Note that there were no cars in the oncoming turning lane.

I don't think there is ever a time you can roll through a red light (legally).
