If you're approaching a T intersection from the major road about to turn right onto the ending road, and the light is red, do you need to stop before you turn? I was driving my mom home from her parents' house and she pointed out to me that I needed to stop at the light. I told her that I didn't. Who's right in this instance? Note that there were no cars in the oncoming turning lane.
Hopefully the crudely drawn diagram helps show what I was doing.

Yes, you need to come to a complete stop. A solid red light always warrants a stop, even when turning right.
-
No cop No stop homie!
-
Nah bro, Red light means go FASTER! then drift that corner like a bawss.
-
Technically you're supposed to stop, but it's like a stop sign, you really only stop if there's a car coming.

How are you allowed to drive if you don't know you have to always stop at red lights?
-
I don't think there is ever a time you can roll through a red light (legally).
-
Stop at red lights. Regardless.
-
Complete stop look both ways then go.

Yes. Always come to a complete stop. Though I rarely do lol.

You have to stop. Sometimes there will be signs that say "No right turn on red" as well.
