As I eagerly await the ever-approaching release of Destiny, I've been consistently going back over many of the small details we have known for a long time, as well as details that have just recently been unveiled. As many of you know, PlayStation users are set to receive some interesting bonuses on Day One. Of these, the exclusive weapons have undoubtedly pegged most of my interest. As the blog post states, the weapons that PlayStation users are going to receive are 'exotic.' With this being the highest level associated to either gear or weapons in-game, I wonder just how powerful these weapons will be. Appearance-wise they don't appear to be anything too outstanding, but they still carry the 'exotic' title nonetheless. My question is this: Do you believe that these weapons will be something that we will use well into our playthroughs of Destiny, or will they be obsolete fairly early on into the game?

Edited by crimzontearz: 7/13/2014 1:06:54 AMthey are exotic, thus they will not be instantly equippable, once you reach the correct level to equip them you will be able to instantly have exotic weapons of what I am assuming will be mid-level quality. notice, I could be VERY wrong as experience tells me that bonus weapons such as those can be insanely powerful on purpose. Examples The Bonus Armor for ME2 was easily one of the best, most well rounded caster armors in the game, Dead Space's Bonus armor was the SECOND most powerful armor in the game, The Crusader Shotgun in ME3 (bonus weapon) was the BEST hybrid shotgun in the game able to one-shot most basic enemies unce leveled and the ONLY shotgun with a single-slug projectile insuring pin-point accuracy AND naturally armor piercing and thin cover bypassing, Dragon Age's bonus armor was one of the best in the game especially early on and the bonus weapon was BAR NONE the BEST sword in the game and so on and so forth but since this is only EXOTIC gear and not Legendary it will not be as bad
