There I gathered a lot of knowledge about history,maths,filosofy,medicine and a lot more. I saw the locationsof other big cities and lybraries,so I told everyone what I found and I left to find this places,[b][i]Sara who was 14[/i][/b],and some of my pupils decided to come with me. So we travelled the old Europe for almost 10 years going from Roma to Oslo and from Berlin to Kiev.A lot of warriors joined us in our journey,I taught them,as usual and they started to call me "maestro" (old word from an old country named Spain,its meaning was master,or teacher) so I took the name. Our next stop was London where I firstly saw the fallen. They were raiding a settlement,Sara organised the men and we defeated the aliens,saving the settlement and its people from a certain destruction. This made me see that there were greater dangers than the fauna or the raiders,this was an army. So we got back to Esperanza,just to see that it had been destroyed by the fallen,and its people were cruelly slaughtered. After we saw this,we made a vow: We shall destroy every thread to humanity We shall be the protectors of the people We shall anihilate our enemies with the strength of a thousand warriors We shall protect each other like brothers. [b]WE ARE THE SWORD BRETHREN,LET THE BLOOD OF OUR BROTHERS BE THE SEED OF OUR FURY.[/b] And so,the sword brethren was borned,as an opposing force to the evil forces that wanted our homeworld. We grew in numbers,reaching the 200 warriors (that was a lot at the moment) and for 13 years we fought the fallen wherever we saw them,destroying more fortresses and ships that I can remember. We managed to repair some ancient ships,and we made that fleet our home. El Conquistador,my ship,was an aircraft carrier,so we used aircrafts to raid the fallen bases,but we were loosing many good warriors,so we decided to attack their main base(at the time). It was located in a place named The Sandbox,in the old Egypt. There were only 59 warriors left,so we made a plan to siege the fortress with the heavy weapons we had,while a small infiltration team would destroy the plasma energy generators,collapsing them and starting a great explosion inside the Sandbox. The battle started,the cannons were raging at the walls,the whole place trembled with every explosion,we were outnumbered,and our weapons were old (some of us used swords and axes),but we were expert combatants so we held them off. Sara was with the infiltration team,while I went to kill the enemy leader,the siege army was barely holding the swarms of enemies that were trenched there,but they provided us the time to reach our targets. After one hour looking for the enemy general,killing everything I saw,I found him: a 4 armed giant,he was 3 times my size,and he carried two enormous swords on his back. I was armed just with my old sword,wich I found in the ruins of Toledo. We started fighting,he was very fast for something of his size,but I was really pissed off,so I cut two of his arms and he threw me out a window,he came closer and was about to execute me. But then I used a dark energy ball on his face,thats how I discovered my powers. After the combat I named my old sword "Vengadora" (Avenger). Once I cut his head off,I reagruped with the infiltration team...only Sara survived. We headed to the plasma generator and set the explosives,the fallen started to get into escape pods once they realised what was happening. We headed to a scape pod,but the detonator was broken,so I wanted to stay and detonate the explosives manually...but Sara turned me off with an IEM grenade,locked me into the pod and launched it. She sacrificed herself to destroy the Sandbox,I couldnt be more proud...and sorrowful. None survived but me,but every brother died with proud,knowing that they had destroyed a great death factory,saving thousands of innocents,and delaying the arrival of the full fallen combat force. I spent decades travelling like a soul less shadow,I felt alone. I spent many years in solitude,but this was different,I felt empty. When I heard that there was a big city being built under "The Traveller",I knew I had to help humankind in any way I could,besides,I was curious about this "Traveller". After a few decades,I arrived to the city,a wonderful place,full of life and I stayed. My curiosity led me to join the warlocks in their search for wisdom. So here I am,a shadow of what I was,the last and only of the Sword Brethren helping the last city on Terra to feel useful again,but still alone. I just wish I could find more survivors of my old doctrine,or maybe I'll have to look for new companions with who I'll experience countless adventures,like I once did. I've spend literally over an hour on the "name your character screen" in games, thinking of a proper name to match their appearance and the persona I was going for. I have also deleted characters that I spent a lot of time on, like a lvl 41 in WoW back when 60 was max lvl, just because I got sick of the way they looked. For Destiny, I was trying to come up with names that sounded futuristic, yet not too alien. Names that could have a present day feel to them, but nothing too general, like Billy or Kate. I also wanted them to have sort of an advanced technical inspiration to them, as well as being strong yet mysterious, and nothing real gritty, or having that ancient Rome feel, like the names in the WH40K universe. I have found out that thinking up futuristic names is much harder for me than thinking up names for fantasy themed games.
