After reading up on the news it seems Bungivision is going to profit from this game. Given from the ordometer, that hasn't been wrong, it shows that there is a lot of pre orders. This game could sell huge (from 600m - 900m) and I see why, but something bugs me. Do most people just pre order to try the beta or do they actually want to buy it?
Now, I have a good feeling that a lot just want to really buy this game. They want to jump in a persistant world and they also want to see how far Scions of Destiny is going to go. How we will set bounds in both PvP and PvE. We will show this community how much we can party! For us, the only end-game, is just not playing.

I've been waiting for this game since the day Bungie announced it after being a HUGE Halo fan, so glad it has turned out like I had hoped and cannot wait for it to start fully

I'm sure some people have only pre ordered to try the beta to see if they like it or not. Now some of those people will hate the game and not get the full version. On the flip side though, people who pre ordered only to try the beta as they have no idea what Destiny is might love the game and in turn decide to buy the full game. I for one only started to care about Destiny once I played the alpha as before that I had no idea what this game was or what it was about. So I think the pre order numbers for this game are about right for how many people will buy the full game, as like I said some wont buy the full game as the beta didn't impress them and some will change their minds and end up buying the full game because of the beta.
