No good game would allow for beta characters to carry over. It would give an overwhelming advantage to a minority rather than the majority and bungie being a company would want to make a profit so they will hear towards the majority. Imagine the chaos of and rage that would be pointed at bungie by those who are unable to play beta for various reason...prison sentence, on the run from psycho ex girlfriends, on a family vacation...etc. there should be a full wipe and we should be glad we got a taste and not ask for seconds even though we all want it
