99.9% of the PC "master race" don't have proper monitors or sound setups for their rigs.
Seeing as monitors are made for gaming unlike most TVs and we have this thing called surround sound headsets.
I am willing to bet that I have a better gameplay experience on my consoles with my surround sound and 50" plasma than most PC gamers will ever have on their rig.
Then you already lost the bet. Your surround sound is the equivalent to my A50s and plasma TVs are terrible for gaming.

Where do you get this info about plasmas? Lol. You already lost all credibility for a decent debate on that subject. Go do some research. Your computer monitors are complete and total visual turds. Haven't seen one yet that can produce a proper black.

Edited by Joaquin Dead: 7/1/2014 1:54:28 PMResearch input lag & HDTVs that is non CRT TV's are horrible for this. Fun fact: response time or gtg is different than input lag http://www.displaylag.com/display-database/link So if your TV has an input lag of 40ms (Some can be as high as 150ms) which is average for TV's and if you add that to your ping because you can't respond to something that you haven't even seen yet...right? You can see how this effects gameplay. So how's that TV experience looking now? You can get a monitor with a 9ms input lag no tv comes close to that yet (17ms is fastest so far) because most gamers are unaware of this fact and do not request this to be addressed by TV manufactures. The more people that become aware of this issue and ask for manufactures to include input lag on specifications will help TV's bridge this input lag gap they have with monitors. Oops the more you know image URL didn't bring up the pic that I wanted to include that so imagine that image as the reply header.

Plasmas are the most realistic tv's on the market unlike those dumb LEDs which are more than realistic it's like it had plastic surgery on a tv
-
I prefer consoles, and even my pc is hooked up to my TV, but the only reason I even have a monitor is for photo editing, because the color accuracy far surpasses any TV.
-
Anyone who games knows that. Plasmas burn too hot and have terrible input lag associated with them. Great for movies garbage for games. Keep at it pleb. There is a reason why there are no plasma computer monitors.
-
This is coming fom the same nerf herder, who thinks that input lag and fps are the same thing... or even related. Plasma's are fine for gaming. The only time you will want a faster input is if your are a "competative" gamer (as in you get paid to play in tourney's and such). As for your "surround" sound headphones... any audiophile will call you on the quality of simulated surround vs the real thing. I have both a decent rig, and consoles. I like toplay with both, but find my self drawing to consoles for their longevity, price point, and ROI. I hate having to upgrade my grfx card every 2 years to make my games prettier.
This is coming fom the same nerf herder, who thinks that input lag and fps are the same thing... or even related.
This is coming from the same idiot who says they aren't related. I also never said they were the same. But they relate to one another.
As for your "surround" sound headphones... any audiophile will call you on the quality of simulated surround vs the real thing.
Any audiophile will also tell you a majority of people don't set up their surround sound system up properly or don't have the right room to effectively get the most out of it.
I have both a decent rig, and consoles. I like toplay with both, but find my self drawing to consoles for their longevity, price point, and ROI. I hate having to upgrade my grfx card every 2 years to make my games prettier.
If you are a PC gamer you'd know after the initial cost PC gaming as a whole is cheaper and you don't have to upgrade your GPU every two years. Good portion of 2-3 year models are better then the GPUs in the 'next gen' consoles.

Plasma has very little input lag, not as good as a monitor but better then most LCD/led dipshit.
-
Plasmas have lower refresh rate(which is responsible for input lag), worse contrast ratio, lower pixel motion and color transition rates, lower sharpness. There is a reason why plasmas are being phased out and have always been trash for gaming. Anyone who buys a new plasma might as well shouldn't be buying a TV period.
-
My Samsung plasma has plenty of contrast & sharpness.... And... Real, rich blacks. And it's 58" Look, I am a ex-pc gamer. I don't notice any input lag compared to my monitor days.. I have no desire to upgrade my pc every year, I've become a casual gamer in my age & responsibilities in life this why I enjoy consoles more now. Put the game in and play.. No money pit changing out graphics cards, updating drivers...
-
derp... derp... derp... Plasma refresh rate is 600Hz. Samsung PN60F8500 conrtrast ratio is 55,779:1 Plasma is being phased out due to sales figures. Not for any of the things you just made up. Go to ANY TV review site and ALL will ind plasma better then LED. derp... derp... derp... Kid... you are trying to sound smart, when its clear you are a total BS'er. QUit while you are behind.

For that 1.8k price tag you can find many better LED TVs than that. Notice how even in the description it says it can "rival" LEDs.
-
"better" is a matter of preference. I prefer deep inky blacks and contrast to color pop and brightness. Motion has a more natural smoothness than the 120 and 240 emulation.LED based TV can't touch this models picture quality. Input lag could be better, but its good enough for what I do. Until OLED's come down, this is one of the best IMO.
-
I play on a 60" Panasonic plasma and it's pretty ridiculous Beaver. You'll get better brightness on LED/LCD but the colors and depth of a plasma is pretty damn good. However, a smaller unit, like a gaming monitor will have better contrast given that the pixels are a lot closer together.
-
Not sure if troll...or if just stupid. Possibly both.
-
I use a TV, I don't really care when it comes down to pixels, as long I can play a video game on it.
-
Not sure if stupid, or in denial.
Probably both.
-
I have a monitor for non PC gaming.
-
I'm not saying you can't use it for non gaming. But monitors are built completely different than TVs and are built for fast moving pictures and the vibrant colors gaming brings with it.
-
Nope. Same technology. Monitors actually have worse picture performane for motion becasue they are made to view static images. Seriously... where do you get your info?
-
Where do you get yours? Because you go full retard way to often.
-
I work in the technology business (cutting edge even, look up the stock ticker BEAV). Been in this business in a lead IT role for 10 years. When I read your replies, I go full retard just to get down to your level... You know... so you can understand the words that are coming out of my keyboard.
-
Mhm. Let me just go trust a guy who can list the stock ticker for a tech company then presume he carries the Lead IT role. Let me get on that.
-
Don't have to trust me. I know what's up. Unlike you. Have fun with your PC mate.
-
Your just a fanboy. If you buy the right TV then its just as good as most monitors. They have TVs built for gaming as well. PC gaming is not that far ahead from these "next gen" consoles. Nobody's jealous of anything stop trying to seek attention.
