While this is a [b]Obvious speculation[/b] piece. The details in this video are quite the argument to say we are dead. i personally buy into the theory that we are vessels of the Travelers Light.

A Bungie dev brought up that Arthur C Clarke's Childhood's End which was based on his short story Guardian Angels was a big influence as it should be it's an amazing book read it if you have a chance. Don't look at the spoiler if you haven't read the book. [spoiler]Is the Traveler the Overseer? Is the Overmind the Darkness they speak of ? Dunno but man that would it be amazing. Because IMO the Overmind destroyed humanity.[/spoiler]
