"He gave his life thinking he just saved the planet. We should all be so lucky." -Cutscene, New Alexandria, Halo: Reach

How in the -blam!- does blue eyes know he lived or died?
-
Because Noble 6 told him. Jorge was standing right next to a makeshift inter dimensional bomb.
-
A slip space bomb not an exoton nuke.
The ways of him dying are too numerous. Death by radiation, death by vacuum, death by suffocation, and death by being cut in half. In the wise words of TheGreenAlloy, "He ded as fuk."
What if he put his helmet back on?

I think it's pretty obvious he didn't. But, let's say he does. What then? Well, if he isn't ripped apart by the slipspace event (he most likely was), and successfully transitions to slipspace, he will die by suffocation after his MJOLNIR runs out of oxygen. Even more likely, is that he will transpire by radiation poisoning before the 90 minutes of oxygen is used up. Anything salvageable from the Corvette and Supercarrier will be rendered completely useless by the radiation of slipspace. The parts will be fried. In addition, the unpredictability of slipspace without a functioning slipspace drive would render any attempt at salvage impossible.

One could say the same about MC after halo3, yet he endured.
-
That was a precise action done by the most advanced Forerunner AI to have ever existed...
-
Forerunner slipspace technology is vastly more advanced. Their portal networks and grids more stable and consistent.

I will not believe he's dead :(
