-
ok i dont have 5 other friends to do this with. wtf is a person like me suppose to do. u need to do some kind of matchmaking with this so others like me can participate. not fair to exclude us cause our friends dont play
-
wow f that i physically cannot do this, i have work and a gf i get to play for like 2-3 hours a day and its always random so trying to get a team of 6 on at the same time will be impossible hopefully there are mini bosses so i can at least get half way lol
-
They did say that the Vault of Glass (assuming that's what this is) was an end-game challenge that holds the ultimate rewards. I assume that there will be multiple raids that have great rewards but the Vault of Glass will be the hardest one with some kind of super powerful items at the end.
-
I want them to show a raid attempt on bungie day :D
-
Actually they didn't even complete it. They just got to the final boss.
-
I can't wait for this!
-
are there checkpoints on raids? because im not going to sit down for 16 hours. lol.
-
The Volundr accept this challenge. May the games commence.

I'm not saying the claim of 14/16 hours is correct or that there's even some 'clan / group' that has attempted it... but we know BNG said the aforementioned quest is hard, and you will fail, a lot, etc... the assumption train is going heavy right now on this... So to remove all that for a sec... let's come back to reality... 1) Nobody expects to play for 10's of hours and not take a bio-break or a nap or going to work, etc. 2) It is possible that the end game is that long / hard, even with the correct gear in Destiny 3) It is possible that they give you a week or a month (insert X time) to do it 4) It is possible your party to encounter multiple 'lull' points, gear upgrade points, etc where 'soft breaks' could be taken 5) It is possible there are multiple check points along your quest line where your progress is saved so you can quit the quest and pick it back up at a later date / time with the same / other folks 6) This is not an unheard of mechanic in today's MMOs 7) Bungie claims to taken influence from games which happen to incorporate this kind of 'break in play' mechanic in their end game content So *if* there is any credibility to the 14/16 hour claim, there *may* be a plausibility such a quest's design for end game length and it *may be reasonable* to expect similar / longer times for equally / lessor outfitted teams *if* such hypothetical game design mechanics were included. Where there's a will, there's a way. Cheers,
-
It took them 16 hours just to get to the final boss
-
They had no MMO exp tho. They were a competitive team that played shooters like cod bf etc.
-
At the end there is a grand chest, when you open it there is nothing in it, all you can see is your reflection...thats right, the reward all along was your will and determination to complete the Vault of Glass...bullshit! I'm totally selling this awesome chest!

Holyshit what
-
You seem to be forgetting that opening the front door took more than 45mins, THE FRONT DOOR.
-
Maybe Bungie wired our controllers with microwaves that will kill us if we try and quit playing destiny, and someone has to beat The Vault Of Glass so people can return to the real world. Also if we die in game then we die IRL .-.
-
just keep the possibility open that they may have gone in with no knowledge of any mechanics involved in the VoG. so they probably ended up wiping a lot while trying to figure out what was needed to do. then there may also be some bad RNG involved in some way. this is where any video capture programing will come in real handy. if you can record your fights, you may be able to review them to figure out just what the heck you're doing wrong.
-
I guess that's the point I'll start looking for friends....
-
I would think that 16 hours makes sense when you think that maybe it took that long because they just kept failing, over and over. Maybe it wasn't ever 16 consecutive hours. I don't know I'm just giving an idea.
-
Challenge accepted... Top guild or not I think I played enough "Unfair Mario" and "I Wanna be the Guy" to say my platforming skills are average. And fallen down enough holes and chasms in Dark Souls to say my falling scream rivals that of the the Wilhelm scream. Bring on your disappearing platforms Bungie and I will cross them like Indiana Jones in the Last Crusade. And I'll do it in 2 hours flat. In fact I will shimmy my exo dancing feet off doing it. And then hurl said feet at whatever boss awaits at the end.. Bring it on Bungie

Reminds me of that south park episode where he asks his mom to bring that pan to take a crap in. They all became fat. It was a good one
