The Haloverse wins due to the fact that two races have technology that trumps anything Star Wars can pull, and another that adopts any and all levels of technology. The Precursors are a universal force, practically part of the fabric of reality. Their creations are enormous, to the scale of entire solar systems. Their empire spans over multiple galactic clusters. The Forerunners sat just under the pre-cursors on the technology scale, and are able to manipulate gravity, time, and other dimensions with relative ease. They are capable of extra-galactic travel, and can build constructs ranging from the size of a planet to something that completely envelops it, and have extensive knowledge of building in slipspace. The flood adopts whatever it absorbs into the collective, meaning if one Jedi was ever consumed, there'd be serious trouble. And you forget how fast the flood spreads once it starts. When it has access to ships and large amounts of biomass, planets become organic supercomputers that can rival and best even the most advanced AI. Air is converted and filled with spores so that any who even breathe the atmosphere are eventually infected, and if one ship makes landfall, we're talking total planetary collapse within hours. These three factions alone would give the Star Warsverse serious trouble. Throw in ancient Humanity and all the other alien empires, plus modern Humanity and the Covenant, and you have an enormous line of canon fodder like no other.

  • Abeloth and the Yuuzhon Vong would have little trouble wiping any living race out there. Abeloth could only be defeated by one force, which isn't it halo.

  • The Yuuzhan Vong can be infected by the Flood. Meaning all of their "technology" can be infected. Meaning a completely infected Worldship.

  • And then they would destroy it. The yuuzhong wouldn't let their own weapons be turned against them. Also, how would they infect the yuuzhong vong? Would they just walk on in?

  • Yes pretty much. The flood are fully adaptable to any life form they come across, as they were the creators of all life in the cosmos in their past forms. Any and all biological matter is consumable by them. Destroying their own stuff when infected is literally what everyone always does again the flood. The Forerunners were casually nuking star systems with forced supernova just at the beginning of a Flood attack. Still didn't stop it.

  • Yes but they didn't create the yuuzhong vong. They yuuzhong vong have their own super disease. How do we know this disease isn't the weapon need to defeat the flood? The ancient humans almost defeated the flood, how come a a galaxy armed with the force couldn't do the same?

You'd have to somehow substantiate the claim that they could defeat the Flood. The flood didn't lose, they retreated on purpose to make the humans think they found a cure. This lead the Forerunners to think they found a cure, this preserving humanity. The Flood knew the Forerunners were going to go to war with mankind and wipe them out eventually, so they convinced both sides that humanity held a valuable secret by pretending to back down against a cure that never actually worked. This saved humanity and allowed the Flood to enact it's punishment of the Forerunners for defying the Precursors, therefore allowing humanity the freedom to ascend. The entire story with the Flood has them saving the human race, as we were the Precursors chosen species. They even ended the Covenant War for us, by initiating the events that would lead to the Ring be destroyed and the Covenant fracturing. These are the kinds of master minds you are dealing with

  • Not how I read it. I read the the ancient humans had almost developed a means to fight the flood, but were wiped out by the forerunners first.

  • The ancient humans were fleeing the Flood, not beating them. And useless hypotheticals don't matter. I could easily come up with something similar to beat SW at any turn, but that stuff isn't relevant to this conversation.

  • You really think that the Flood, working with the Forerunners and the Precursors, can't infect a Yuuzhan Vong ship? It would be incredibly simple, given their technological capabilities.
