I am trying to remember the name of a certain book, but I cannot seem to do so. If anyone can help me, I would greatly appreciate it.
I believe it is a British work. If I remember correctly, the plot goes something like this:
There a a group of friends (two of them are twins) who go traveling. While traveling, they are picked up by farmer who gives them a ride. Shortly after, one of them gets into an argument with the farmer and kills him. They friends decide to hide the body in a field and never speak of the event.
Eventually, one friend starts blackmailing the others and uses them to get what he want. Later, I believe they were outside (hiking?) when the blackmailer has an accident, but the other friends decide to let him die and hide the body. This, of course, wears on the group and they all start to break down.
If anyone can help find the title of the vague nonsense I just described, I would greatly appreciate it.
