Alpha testing
Alpha testing is simulated or actual operational testing by potential users/customers or an independent test team at the developers' site. Alpha testing is often employed for off-the-shelf software as a form of internal acceptance testing, before the software goes to beta testing.
Beta testing
Beta testing comes after alpha testing and can be considered a form of external user acceptance testing. Versions of the software, known as beta versions, are released to a limited audience outside of the programming team. The software is released to groups of people so that further testing can ensure the product has few faults or bugs. Sometimes, beta versions are made available to the open public to increase the feedback field to a maximal number of future users.

A game demo is a freely distributed piece of an upcoming or recently released video game. Demos are typically released by the game's publisher to help consumers get a feel of the game before deciding whether to buy the full version.
Please read the above...done, good, now read it AGAIN.
You are purposely limiting your feedback for both the alpha AND the beta tests of destiny, so instead of calling them alpha and beta test, grow a set of balls, man up and call them what they are , destiny game DEMO.
cause everyone knows now, that the alpha and beta are no longer about finding bugs, but rather just increasing the hype for your game. And to sway players to a specific console.

I'll just assume that you're a "pissed Xbox owner" and point out that Bungie DID have a forum specifically devoted to feedback and impressions of the Destiny Alpha for the people who could play it. Just because you didn't see them taking feedback, doesn't mean they weren't.
