If you join the U.S. Military can you move out of the country?

Yes; They will specifically send you places. For some that might mean Afghanistan, for others Italy.

But what if you want to live outside of the country while your off duty.

There is no "Off-Duty" Your In or Out. If you leave/retire you can do whatever you want. Do you mean vacationing or something? You can

No I'm mean literally living in a different country per say New Zealand and still serve my countries military.

Did you not read the first post? Lets say you join the Navy. They send you to some kiwi naval base in New Zealand. Your job and life, for the next few years, would be in New Zealand. You can serve your country in other countries, but generally Uncle Sam picks where

I dun understand what you were confused about, but I grew up in a military family so it fairly commonplace. Although, all militaries do this sort of thing..
