Let your imagination run free!
This had been tickling me ever after watching most Alpha gameplay videos and reading the what little lores there are (so far!) so I've decided to make a topic here.
As most of us know by now, our Guardians are the dead brought back to life by the Traveler through our trusty Ghost(s), and since the Alpha started where you're level 3-4, this makes me wonder... What happens at the very beginning of the game? Will it revolve around your Guardian just coming back into the world of the living and crawling out of wherever their previous life had died? Or will you take control of Ghost for a short while and look for your Guardian among the rubble?
Will each of the races start in a race-specific area? Exos in a refinery or wherever they were made or living in? Humans in massive collapsed cities? Awoken at the very edge of Darkness? Or will all start together or separately? Will you start with no weapons or a single, pitiful, gun? How about armors? Will there be enemies to push through?
Will there be potatoes? Or tacos?!
What I want is to hear what all of you guys think is awaiting us the moment we begin our legendary adventure in Destiny.

1 ReplyWell, we already know about the armor. During the Alpha if you looked at your first set of armor it would say things like "Fashioned by your Ghost out of nearby materials." Other than that, I believe we'll start out with a cutscene, introducing us to the world and how things are, then, continuing the cutscene, the Ghost awakens us. As seen in a recent trailer (I believe it to be the 2014 E3 trailer), the Ghost appears to be looking down at the ground (our newly revived bodies) and says, "That is, until I found you." This fits into the dialogue of the trailer, but it could also fit well into the Ghost telling you how you're alive, why, etc.

2 RepliesI'm thinking the alpha was probably a 3rd of the way into the game. We already (assumedly) knew what guardians are, what the traveler is, what the fallen are, etc. Whether all this will be revealed through a big opening cutscene or through playable exposition is open for discussion. Just as Halo didn't show us the first contact between humans and Covenant, and given some other clues, I think its more likely that we're a few generations after the Collapse, with all that back story established another way.
