Because I don't care when anybody joined. Join date is a totally non-merit based, randomly assigned, and unchangeable criterion used solely to make people feel inferior or superior.
Kinda like judging people based on their race.

Most interesting. But, alas, that is the nature of this place we call the internet. A constant rat race of artificial superiority. I do agree, a true merit based system would be a far better system. A system where you gain recognition for your time spent, as well as your contribution to the environment of the forum. A system that we once had, but a system that is now gone.
