Not sure if anyone has posted this yet, but somebody posted it over in our clan forums. Great way to decide a skill tree path while the wait for the Beta continues.
EDIT: People were having confusion about how it works so here goes.
There is 8 Columns going across and you are allowed to select ONE ability in each Column. As you progress you unlock the next ability in a row example would be: The Titans second column features all of his/her jump abilities, the first being "Lift". Now as you progress you will unlock the next ability in the row i.e. "Increased Height". But you may only have 1 equipped in each row.
At the end of every skill tee is the "Illumination" perk which locks in your choices permanently and grants a stat buff depending on your Guardian class. These are:
Hunter: Agility Buff
Titan: Armor Buff
Warlock: Recovery Buff

Does any one has any information about the third skill ?? O_O I hope we can choose s kill , Warlock with danceblade ..
-
Damn thought I wanted a Titan but this makes me want 1 of everything gonna have to add 3 more slots to have that,..could really make a massive DPS 'Lock, but def need a bladedancer or a defender,..no uhh oh man this crap is ricocheting all around my brain.

What happens to your old skills after u lock them and a new one opens up do you keep the old skills plus the new one's or does your new skills replace ur old ones?

Edited by Voldaris: 7/1/2014 10:04:48 AMThis is absolutely beautiful, but it doesn't function properly. I've built a calculator of my own and although not nearly as fun to look at, It does work as its supposed to. I've posted a link if you guys want to take a look at it. I plan on adding a summary feature tomorrow so you can see a list of the skills and perks you've chosen. I haven't coded anything in 12 years and never before in javascript or css so bear with me while i work out the details. I am interested in the teleport aspect for my guardian. I wonder how far you can go with it....oh so exciting :P
-
I love you

I was looking at the code, specifically 'classes.js' I don't know the numbers for how much the stats are boosted, but you just need to add them to the abilities for hunter and warlock. Then everything will be fixed. (Example) { name: 'Titan Codex IV', description: 'Training focused on all attributes.', buffs: { armor: 10, recovery: 20, agility: 10 } ~~~ { name: 'Path Forgotten', description: 'Training focused on toughness and speed.' },
-
The hunter and warlock stats don't change when you select certain upgrades. Can it be fixed?
-
One thing I'd fix (just to make the skill tree better) is that on the Titan, the skills which effect those three stats shows how those stats are effected, however it doesn't do that for the hunter or warlock. Is there a way to change that?
-
I'm probably wrong and after the alpha my mind has wandered but in the first destiny gameplay trailer when they fight through the wall doesn't the warlock through a grenade that imitates the power of a sun??
-
Definitely worth trying
-
This is awesome. I'm liking the choices you can make so far. They're all a matter of preference really. I hope there's a third focus for each class
-
Or if you have the skills (and/or images) to make it better, the link above has the open source.

Thanks so much for the edit!

The skill tree for classes works like this: For each column, you get to pick one skill. But for the columns with four skills, you stick with the top skill and can pick another from any of the other three skills. You can see it right here; http://youtu.be/LIxxsw7TNd4?t=3m13s

What i picked up from this is that each subclass or focus has a elemental damage type ( arc solar void )for its super and grenade Warlock ALPHA Void walker: void TBA Fireslinger :solar Hunter ALPHA Gunslinger : solar TBA arc blade focus : arc Titan ALPHA Striker: arc TBA Defender : void if i could guess each class( warlock hunter titan will have three subclasses(foci) one for each element (arc solar void) we know that the elemental effects come from the travelers light We also know hunter has a subclass with an arc blade super so that got me thinking maybe they each have three.

Edited by DannyB513: 6/19/2014 6:48:07 AMVery nice but I wouldn't call this a calculator. It doesn't take into account the fact that if you pick certain skills your Armor, Recovery, and Agility will go up or down. EDIT: I see that it does for the Titan but not for the Hunter or Warlock.
-
Can someone clear this up for me? Do the jump skills stack or you only choose one? I never got to my 2nd jump upgrade in the beta.
-
Edited by MistWave: 6/19/2014 2:21:32 PMYou have the choice to change the grenades back in forth in the game (till you lock your focus), but in the link you gave us the second and third grenade are like an upgrade. P.S.: In the game we can't choose everything like in this link... (This link will confuse the one that didn't play the Alpha)
-
So I could just click them all, I thought there was like things that couldn't be used together. Someone who played a lot with the skills care to explain how this works.
-
Thnx for this... I only played as a WARLOCK in the ALPHA, so it was nice to see the trees for the other characters.
-
This is so awesome, thanks
-
Outstanding! Thanks for sharing :) JTS
-
Very cool!
-
What a delicious little tool. Thanks for the info.

Do you get the other sub classes? it Ets you pick everything, but in game you can't. not much of a calculator.
