I still disagree. I don't want to hear any of those other players aside from my fireteam.

Then you can turn it off?
-
You have far to much faith in the gaming community. I feel like the trolls, kids, and "pros" would so far outweigh legitimate players that I would be muting everyone to the point that I might as well just form a fireteam.
-
No I mean you could turn the proximity chat off. As in opt out entirely.
-
ok before I say this I want you to know its entirely opinion based. If you say that my best option is for me to turn it off then you agree that I do not need it and therefore I would be on the side against having it. Does that make sense?
-
Yes, but why limit other players when that's your opinion???
-
Why should you're opinion complicate things for me? Its just a waste of time in my opinion so your argument to me just seems like a needless obstacle.
-
Because I'm not talking about what is good for you. I'm talking about what is good for the game and other players?
-
But im not the only player to have this opinion you can't speak for a majority based on your own opinion
-
I'm not. I'm speaking from my experience with the game. I strongly feel Destiny is a social game and it should be treated as such. I fully understand that you don't want to talk to people. Cool. Flip the option to not talk to anybody. As it stands though, we can only talk to people that join out fire teams, and even then, that's only 2 other people. That isn't satisfactory.
-
I am just going to agree to disagree we are both entitled to our opinions. Thank you for the intelligent debate and no matter how this whole thing works out I look forward to playing Destiny with you.
-
Likewise. See you in a month.
