I know some B.netters (I'm talking about you, BannedLemon) are getting tired of these threads, but I really need to point out a difficulty I've been having lately. So let's begin...
I am a huge Halo fan--
Halo 4 Multiplayer
Ok, not a fan of that, but still huge. And when I heard rumors about there being a Master Chief Collection, all four games starring the Chief shipping on a single disc, I thought to myself, There is no way in a thousand hells that 343i would have the capability to develop four games on one disc. When E3 came around and the Halo panel started, I was super psyched out of my mind when I saw a title that said Halo: the Master Chief Collection. #OMGMASTERCHIEFCOLLECTIONGOTYCODFANBOYSGETREKTADVANCEDWARFAREWILLBE-blam!-COMPAREDTOTHEGREATNESSTHATIS-- *ahem* Then I saw a caption that read
ONLY ON XBOX ONE
And that is where my anger comes in. First of all, I understand it being for graphical reasons that they wouldn't give it to us on the 360. But at the very least, 343i should have given the 360 a remastered version of Halo 2 with campaign, multiplayer, and that being it. I know they want to move on, but they shouldn't have to leave us in the dust this early in the Xboner's launch window. And before somebody says something like, "LOL look at the last-gen-fag cry because he's too cheap to buy a newer console," I would like to point out that I am waiting for Microsoft to lower the price of the Xboner (which they have already done, but I need it to be a little lower) and to work out any bugs that currently plague the system, if there are. Another reason for this is because the 360 still has good hardware, as well as support from lots of gaming companies (Hell, the last-gen consoles were the only ones to get The Stick of Truth).
So there is my pointless rant and reasoning of why I can't get the MCC. Have a good day and move on with your lives.
-
LMAO. How could anyone have thought for even a second that Halo 2 Anniversary would be on 360? Halo sells consoles, no shit they're gonna make it Xbox One exclusive.
-
Halo: The Master Chief Collection on Xbox 360? What would that even look like? The MCC on 360, featuring: - 4 discs - 30 fps - Peer-to-peer multiplayer* - Various resolutions - required 20 GB download - Halo Anniversary** - Halo 2 Anniversary*** - Halo 3 - Halo 4 Only $59.99 * due to peer-to-peer, Halo CE will not feature online multiplayer ** Halo: Combat Evolved Anniversary, the exact same game from 2011, which is the exact same game from 2001 ***Halo 2 Anniversary on Xbox 360 will be significantly downgraded from the Xbox One version

It was pretty obvious that if/when 343i announced a new/remastered Halo game, it would be confined to the Xbox One. You shouldn't have ever gotten your hopes up.
-
It's to get M$ more Xbox One sales, which isn't a bad thing. When the MCC and Halo 5 beta were announced at E3, I was convinced to get an X1. When I get it, I'll practically have 5 games right off the bat anyway.

Edited by adamj004: 6/16/2014 9:49:08 PMIt's to sell more Xbox One's, it is one of the logical things to do in a marketing aspect and in MS situation. Also it would be pointless (I know a lot think it's pointless re-releasing existing games anyway) to have 3 out of 4 of the games in the collection already on the 360 so that too is an excuse MS want's to give to get people to buy the Xbox One. Also all the technical reasons behind it too, from what I read the 360 can't take on some of the things what 343 wants the MCC to offer. In all honesty could you not see this coming?
-
move on? you're complaining about an old game migrated to a new console? there's plenty other things out there. or, put in the old disc. BOOM. problem solved.
-
Get xbox one problem solved.
-
Why would anyone take you seriously or give a shit about anything you have to say when you type "XBoner"? It makes you look like an idiot. Just speaking the truth, not being mean.
-
Edited by Gatsby: 6/16/2014 5:57:42 PMyou have no idea how business works do you? MCC only on Xbox one encourages others to move to xbox one simples
-
Edited by RomanGladiator7: 6/16/2014 5:14:53 PMAnyone who complains about the MCC not being on 360 obviously isn't old enough to work and buy an X1 themselves, which in turn means they weren't old enough to play Halo 2 in its glory when it came out. I was 12 when Halo 2 came out and it only took me a week's work to have enough for an X1 last summer. There is no possible way it could ever come out on 360.
-
No matter how much you cry about it, it's not going to happen. I'm sorry, OP, but these threads are extremely tiresome. If you really want the MCC, buy an Xbox One. If you can't afford an Xbox One (and can't save up for one in the coming months) you aren't old enough to have and a job and in turn, aren't old enough to have played Halo 2 in it's original state on the Xbox.
-
You're missing the point OP - it's Xbox One only as the sales are shit. If the console was selling as much as they wanted the collection wouldn't be being made at all. It's a cash in.
-
Edited by G7kherc: 6/13/2014 7:19:41 PMOh shut up, you're just upset that you DON'T have an Xbox one to play it. No one cares. I don't have an Xbox one and want MCC as just as you but I'm not complaining. I'm not mentioning the fact that if I buy an Xbone I'll abandon all my friends. Stop crying like a bitch and man up. #firstworldproblems It's not like you can save up and buy it later. Oh the horror of not buying games day 1 instead of buying them a few months later! Oh what a tragedy!
-
Honestly Microsoft is trying to move on to the Xbox One and focus on it more. It's change and change sometimes sucks but we all have to adapt ya know?
-
"LOL look at the last-gen-fag cry because he's too cheap to buy a newer console,"
jk
-
-
Deal with it.
-
No. Did Halo 3 ship on the Original Xbox? That came out a year after the release. MCC is no different.
-
I agree that H2 remastered should come to 360 at least but the reason MCC won't be on 360 is because three out of the four games in MCC are already on the 360.
-
Just save up and get the Bone, man. You have 5 months. Better get started.
-
This is just the way things work. Nothing new. You want the latest and greatest games? Step up to gen 8.
-
I know they want to move on, but they shouldn't have to leave us in the dust this early in the Xboner's launch window.
Well, the MCC will get released a full year into the Xbox One's launch, which is pretty deep. Consider this: the MCC wasn't released to please Halo fans — the MCC was released to sell Xbox Ones. Xbox and Halo have gone hand-in-hand since the platform's inception. As things stand right now, the only Halo game the Xbox One can play is that undercooked Spartan Assault game. Halo 5 won't come out for a long time, so Microsoft is releasing the MCC specifically with the goal (I think) of padding out the offering of Xbox One games as well as Halo titles on the Xbox One. As for Xbox 360, the only things in the MCC that aren't already available to you are a re-make of Halo 2 with the online multiplayer, and online multiplayer for Halo 1. Halo Anniversary, Halo 3, and Halo 4 are already available for the Xbox 360, and you can play your old Xbox Halo 2 disc on the Xbox 360. Plus, in addition to all the work of coding 343i would have to do for Halo 2, the whole collection would have to be released on multiple discs anyway because the Xbox 360 doesn't use Blu-ray like the Xbox One does. It's simply a matter of too much work for too little payoff.
(I'm talking about you, BannedLemon)
Okay? OT: Cry more. It's being made to sell Xbones. End of.
-
The jimmies are strong with this one
-
Lol look at the poor 360 owner.
