I still think the prologue of Halo 4 takes place after the campaign, and after John's left the UNSC on his weird quest to wherever in Halo 5. They're interrogating Halsey (who doesn't know John's even alive until near the end of Spartan Ops) trying to get inside John's head and understand the rationale behind what he's currently doing by getting answers from the person who knew him best.
-
Unknown. However, based on Halsey's observation of him not being with ONI, and his questions relating to the SPARTAN-II project, I surmise he is with the SPARTAN branch.
-
We don't know yet.
-
My guess is Locke. I know there's not an answer, I just wanted speculation from people who generally like Halo.
-
I considered Locke as a possibility, but that wouldn't really work because he appears to be white (and is voiced by Bruce Thomas) whereas Locke is black and will likely have a different voice actor.
-
Where was his race confirmed?
-
When Mike Colter was cast as him.
-
Locke's ethnicity was confirmed by the fact he will be portrayed by a black actor in Halo: Nightfall.
-
Seconding Moth, here. We see Locke in his armor and he doesn't speak.
-
The actor who plays him in the live action film is black.
