Now with the recent split-screen controversy it got me thinking. While Destiny will be visually better on PS4/One, I currently have 4 360s set up for co-op in my garage for me and my friends. So If I don't bite the bullet on next-gen, because I want to play co-op with my friends (in the same room), will I be able to transfer my progress from last to current gen when I do?
Bungie should be able to do this on the respective platforms...right? I wouldn't even be thinking about this if Bungie had bothered to implement split screen for a CO-OP game.

There's no next gen exclusive content, so it could happen. GTA V is moving GTA Online characters up to next-gen.

I think they're currently working on this. I don't know if it is going anywhere though.
