From the streams I watched, the Factions have NPCs in the tower that sold you faction related gear and emblems and such. There wasn't an NPC for Osiris or Seven Seraphs in the alpha build according to the Ninjas who were streaming, and they didn't have any story integration in the Alpha persay as there is only one campaign mission.
