Be honest.
I probably would have died.
-
Sure, i'd be busy being shot on Gold, Sword or Juno
-
I did
-
There's not really any way to know
-
I'm just glad that I'll never have to find out.
-
I would have destroyed everybody on that at beach, I would have wanted to be on the first boat to land.
-
Meh it's just a beach.
-
A beach storming survival has very little to do with ones on personal skill, and everything to do with luck.
-
Hell no! Seeing as they'd over-laden the troops with equipment just to get on the beach when I myself am not physically trained in any way, machine gun nests aiming for the sardine-packed landing craft, not to mention the mines, barbed wire, lack of armoured support... The list could go on. The only way I could survive was if I was on one of the battleships as a chef or something.
-
Knowing my luck, this probably would have happened.

There are no beaches here in Omaha, Nebraska. So, yeah, I guess.
-
The biggest factor is what boat you are on. The ones that launch first are going to be goners since the fire is concentrated on them. Your best bet is being on a boat that lands when the beach already has a decent number of people on it. Then after that is playing it smart by staying low and taking cover behind dunes and those anti-tank beams. I would probably die though just because there's too many factors to factor in that could kill you.

I'm lucky as -blam!-
-
Probably not, but who knows? Maybe I'd get lucky.
-
Maybe. I'm not particularly agile, but I'm pretty fast.
-
I probably would have died, unless I used strategy and slowly picked off the enemy.
-
It depends on the situation.
-
Probably not. But you never know until you're in that situation.
-
I wouldn't have fought the Germans.
-
Yes, I was there.
-
I would have managed to get tangled in the ropes getting off one of the ships before ever getting in the landing craft. Honestly, I think being in a giant tin can a couple thousand feet above the ground with Flak fire and heavy weapons exploding around me while using a static line would be more comforting than being on one of the beaches. Regardless, those guys had guts. Most went in knowing they'd never see their families again, but pressed on because they believed what had to be done, had to be done. They're the reasons the war in Europe took a turn for the worst for the axis and began benefiting the Allies. Without the Normandy invasion I might be typing in German, or flat out not alive because I don't match up to Aryan standards.

What was Omaha beach?
-
obamamhamamamamamamahamamama beach
-
Hell no.
-
-blam!- no

Give us the wave of soldiers we are and then we can tell you.
