Most of us have seen the image of the Guardians in the Tower, planning their next move over a table. It would be really interesting to see if there are tables like this where we can take our Fireteam, and actually plan our attacks. They say that Raids require lots of planning and tactics, so I suspect that there is an interactive table for planning. How could this work? Perhaps we can select many different sub locations to look at in detail, however, these sub locations are added to the map as you physically discover them during missions. Only the parts that have been explored are added to the sub map; the rest stays blank until you explore further the next time you venture to that location. In a Raid for example, if your team only makes it to the entrance of the target location before you're wiped out, then when you plan on the map, only up to the entrance would be shown. Additionally, there could be different icons, selected using the d-pad that one can select, and add to a location on the visible map, each icon meaning something else. For example, there could be icons indicating strategic locations that your Fireteam should try to control that would give you the upper hand in battle. There could also be icons indicating where the best enemy defenses were the last time you were there. When your Fireteam finally deploys to fight again, these icons would be visible on the screen. I think that a real, interactive map for real planning would be ideal, and would be very interesting to add to the game. Hopefully my explanation of this idea made sense.
