It astounds me.
No so much about the Chinese thinking that animal keratin has special magic properties.
But that the poachers themselves are so short sighted that they can not see that they will be out of a job and be getting no more money in the future if they kill of all the rhino species.

Some nation's government needs to outfit Rhinos with bullet-proof armor and strap 4 .50 cals to their backs and train them to use the guns. Would love to see the results.
