Fat acceptance.
I'm just, I may be a bit late to this party...christ, I knew the SJW thing was horrible once people started claiming that trans men are oppressive, all women are really lesbians and white people being buddhist is racist, but this takes the -blam!-ing cake.
Okay, I can kinda, sorta, understand the original intentions behind this; fat people can be unfairly and cruelly ridiculed, and that can lead to nastier, serious things like self harming and anorexia. Those are legitimate issues that need to be addressed.
But this whole idea of fat glorification, that they are a majorly oppressed part of society, and that its healthy to obese, I really just can't.
I mean, you have idiots claiming that doctors are evil 'fat shamers' who should not be trusted, and that its impossible to lose weight, and that lots of fat doesn't hurt you at all. HOW STUPID ARE THESE PEOPLE.
These doctors are trying to help you, and save you from diabetes and heart disease and BLOODY DEATH. Hell, I even saw one -blam!-ing post that complained about how doctors should've been trained and equipped to deal with all their fat mass during a surgery and avoid complications...-blam!-.
I hope to god this stays online; this stupid cult of victimhood and arrogance could get people -blam!-ing killed.

Some people are just on a totally different level of stupidity. There's a difference between an unrealistic expectation of beauty and being able to fit in one seat at a movie theatre. And it doesn't help that modern medicine can keep these people alive despite major cardiovascular issues. And the amount of medical care these people need draws resources away from others. And it's not just confined to tumblr SJWs, go look at Honey Boo Boo. It's mainstream media.

I agree with everyone in this thread. Fat glorification is destroying America. It's essentially an easy alternative to losing a healthy weight; "instead of doing the work, we're just going to lower the bar." It's the lazy way out. We used to be a country of doers. We accomplished things, understood our mutual selfishness, and weren't afraid of speaking our mind. Our current generation is quickly becoming lazy and weak. Political correctness is out of control. This fat love is only a catalyst for the destruction of America. This is why I propose a manual curfew of 10:00pm for all people over a 25 BMI. In addition, anyone weighing more than a moderate-sized horse will be required by the state to climb an entire mountain and live off the land for two weeks.

Go on Tumblr, there is now fat phobia and fatist or something like that. Tumblr shows how society has gone and turned into pussies. If I should be mad at anything in somebody's appearance, it should be weight because unless you have a serious medical disability then you have almost complete control over it

Over the course of 4-5 months, I've lost over 40 lbs. It's not impossible. It's called being lazy. "Lots of fat doesn't hurt"? What the -blam!-, this person has obviously never been fat. Your heart is working twice as hard and your legs are constantly holding up your fat frame. There was a point in my life where going up 3 flights of stairs would almost knock me out. Obviously making fun of someone for being fat is -blam!-ed up and you're a -blam!-face if you do it. But saying they're oppressed like blacks were or that some sort of civil rights movement needs to be made is pathetic.

I'll admit losing weight after a certain point is trickier, but seriously, it's not hard to eat less, eat more healthy and filling food, and to drink water. Hell, you can even drink flavored water. People just don't want to try to lose weight, but rather try to find beauty where it's not.

I personally wouldn't tiptoe around their feelings OP. What these people need is a good kick up the arse. They need to completely come to the understanding of not just the danger they're putting themselves in, but the repercussions it will have on our healthcare and infrastructure. Hospitals and businesses will have to accommodate for their girth. Healthcare prices will skyrocket irregardless of privatised or universal systems. It's honestly come to the point where it's not just affecting their lives, but the lives of others as well, and we will not tolerate their bullshit excuses any longer.
