Destiny is all about showing off your Guardian. It is about becoming legend, and yet, Bungie says that you can only have one exotic weapon and one exotic armor piece. I think you should be able to equip any exotic gear you want, because you earned it. I also think it won't ruin multiplayer because you just need to be put with people with similar gear and and a level close to yours. This would improve the experience because you could be the guardian you fought so hard to be. If a bungie employee is reading this, please consider this. If you're reading this, please comment to tell me what you think. I am very interested to see what the feedback will be for this topic. Thanks Guardians!

I am reading some of these comments and they don't make much sense. One person is talking about a guy with a machine gun exotic and a guy with a hand Canon exotic.. But that doesn't fit this topic anyone can have those matches. He would have to have 2 exotics to over power him really unfairly. And another comment saying leaving you only 1 piece of exotic armor will give you more varieties, but really it gives you less options as a player. The more armor you can wear the more variety, it's simple. In my personal thought, yes you should be able to wield more exotics at one time because 1. Admit it they're pretty frickin sweet 2. I earned it I should be able to wear it 3. Exotics don't give much more advantage than legendary gear and the crota's end raid gear gives the same amount of light level as exotic. There isn't much in the way of being overpowered.

Short Answer: Restricting players to only one exotic weapon and one exotic armor piece at a time makes the exotic tier more balanceable and therefore more individually powerful, it increases the variety of builds that we'll see in the final game, and it makes the choices you make as a player much more meaningful. No. Exotics are supposed to be special, I like what Bungie is doing. It also helps with balance, especially in competitive multiplayer.

Yeah, but you gotta put PvP into perspective. If you see someone with full Exotics that has put like 800+ hours in and just steamrolls everyone, that wouldn't make for a genuine experience. However one piece of Exotic will be less pain staking to get and more doable. But also keep in mind that you can upgrade you're items. I'm sure if you put a bit of time into your Rares they will prove to be just as badass fully upgraded as a piece of Exotic.

Yes, yes you should
-
I'd say yes a lot more but in pvp they're downgraded
-
Yes but some people would go overboard

Yea feels kinda weird afterall you can hold 4 legendary guns in borderlands :P

I think it's an attempt to maintain some form of balance between casuals and the "elite".

Well think this way, if some dude just found a super epic machinegun that mows down everything in its path and you, who spent time learning your gun such as a hand cannon, which do you think will hit more? cant exactly mow someone down who headshots you faster than you can spray and pray
