If anything the Developers of Warframe know how to talk to their fan base.
I caught a developer sit down on YouTube and interesting enough they went over all the new changes coming to the game. Armor add ons, a giant freaking Dog like creature that will be your ally, enemies and Warframe designs being worked on submitted by their community, ....
and low and behold a ship for the players to sink time, money, and god knows how many in game resources.
Basically a flying dojo/UI meant to ground the game in lore and accessibility to new players.
A work in progress, but nevertheless Destiny might be having an influence across its genera.
Now whether you like Warframe or not, I was pretty impressed with the set up on how they engage their community compared to what Destiny has done so far.
They are showing new animations, environment, talking about how they are trying to support PS4 and PC players while their Community manager fields questions directly from their forums and twitter feeds to the guys in charge. And they answered some them using video of pre alpha builds and conceptual art.
Also they have regular sit downs with the community manager playing the game while fielding questions, playing with community, and handing out prizes. 1000 platinum and that's not something to sneer at since it's based on real money.
I gotta admit once I understood how mods worked and unlocking a Rhino this game has taken off for me. I just put a Forma on one of
my guns and now I tear through the higher spectrum enemies like lava going through butter.
I'm not telling you to play it. But dang I hope Deej and Bungie do something like this with Destiny when it launches, because that's really nice to see new content and developer participation with its community to such the degree that they do.

Warframe great game

Warframe is not my type of game, but I certainly give it credit for pretty aesthetics and good combat. It was the repetition and lack of an immersing story that made me jump ship.
-
I like their way of presenting, but not the game. Deej is the worst community manager Everest.
-
Warframe looks fun.

Edited by Tyger: 6/2/2014 8:50:39 PMI played this on PC for about a week and couldn't get any new weapons without a massive grind or paying real money. I might pick it up on ps4 again anyway. It sounds like they really listen to fans. Edit: Actually never mind, I forgot PC gets everything so much farther ahead of PS4

I play warframe and it takes awhile to get use to it but when you do you love it.

To bad the game is a complete grindfest.
-
I still can't play this game. Every time it tries to install a patch it gets to 100% then goes 'update failed. some files could not be retrieved from our servers. please restart warframe and try again.' every time. I have deleted and reinstalled it three times, reinstated licenses and every other solution the internet gave me but I still can't get it.

Warframe is the definition of a grindfest.

That's cool of them. I liked warframe but due to connection problems and glitches I decided against it. I also can barely understand it sometimes. I learned about the assassins that guard their leader in the newest event. I thought they'd be bosses on select levels, noooo.... one of them appeared out of nowhere when I was soloing a mission. Said I was a threat and cut me down with one attack and ran off. Needless to say I was really annoyed.
-
I am not fond of grinding hours on end. I'd rather spend my time looking at the various R34s.
-
My only complaint about Warframe is sometimes I have no idea what the heck is going on and spend time roaming around look for players
I was pretty impressed with the set up on how they engage their community compared to what Destiny has done so far
What ... you don't like DeeJ's stores of the lights being turned off, and the well repeated stories of how they make customs look at their toy guns over-and-over (that poor customs guy). Harsh - lol

Too bad the game is still a Grindfest
