The game is just lacks color and setting shouldn't be an excuse for making fictional game not have any color.
-
Because Victorian London was all neon orange and pink and covered with sparkly glitter to make it all bright and pretty.
-
Games need to be colorful. I can't tell you how much more I enjoy Skyrim after getting an ENB (realism preset). Truth is, it's harder to catch bugs and texture glitches when there are only a handful of colors. I think that's why so many developers resort to it. I can get trying to create atmosphere, but IMO it's much more effective to do that through the story and dialogue than through volumetric fog and dim lights.
-
Eh. Looks bland but the gameplay is what comes first for me. That glorious 1080p though.....I might not care.
-
Lol Is it because the game takes place in 1960?
-
I think it looks pretty badass. Stick to the Mario games, OP.

Edited by Twitchyloner: 5/31/2014 8:55:14 PMdude grey dark and dull are sick, tuffin up ya colourful gimps get gloomy
-
Setting is a perfectly good excuse to have a bland color palette.

Edited by Galahad: 5/31/2014 8:51:18 PMIf B&W fits the setting, I'd still play it. "Limbo" didn't have many colours either, yet I didn't feel it needed them. There seems to be a difference between The Order's art direction and your personal preferences -and that's not a bad thing. No game should ever aim at 100% of the population.

Like I said in Lemon's thread, more games need to look like Just Cause 2
-
Gameplay>Color
-
Still looks better than Watch Dogs
-
If the gameplay and story is great.. Black and white would be fine
-
Where's my cookie?
-
Might want to checkout Lemons thread. This thing is pretty much Greyscale: The Movie: The Game.
-
I wonder if you'll get as many fanboy replies as my thread did.
-
Its really not that bad. To all of you complaining about color in a video game, you are gay. Period.
-
It should have more of an Anime style.
-
I like it
-
I like the setting and the graphics of this game. It's the gameplay that pisses me off.
-
M'aiq think it looks pretty cool but wishes the armor was better looking than just robes and steampunk stuff
-
A company makes a game set in Victorian era London. People complain about how "bland" it looks. Guess what retards? Victoria London looked gray and bland. I mean come on if they made it all colourful and pretty then the same people bitching now would just bitch that it doesn't look realistic.
-
I actually love the look. It seems to fit this game. The colors are dark yet the textures and environment do not look muddy.
-
What are you on about? That looks gorgeous! Haven't really seen much of the game but the color pallet really helps you feel the atmosphere of the game. Well done to the developers.
-
But it isn't.
-
Looks fine to me. Only PS4 exclusive that I'm jealous of.
-
While I'm not looking forward to this game in the slightest, I really like the dark look of it. It's just personal preference in the end.
