"If I could go anywhere in the world, that place would be home," Snowden said.
Snowden, infamous for increasing awareness for the NSA and set the ball rolling for people to demonize and completely despise them, wants to come home. Other than exposing the NSA's overreach of power, Obama decided to join ranks with Snowden to try and curb the power of the NSA, with little to no work due to Congress's gridlock.
Your opinion on this? Other than Kerry being a dick about this, I'd say that Obama would most likely grant Snowden amnesty were Congress to actually reform the NSA's guidelines and power.
inb4 obama wants to treat him like a war criminal and persecute him as one

Edited by K1lLL ST3AL: 5/30/2014 12:46:39 AM>No relationship with Russian Government lolno, probably said that after he done plowing Putin's daughter
-
So, "they like each other, but they don't like-like each other". Right?
-
I don't believe it.
-
Exposes enemy secrets and doesn't afraid of anything.
-
People still hate Snowden? I thought we would have seen through the government's maximum damage control by now.
-
Edited by HurtfulTurkey: 5/29/2014 7:27:49 AMThe guy stole secrets, and probably sold them. Doesn't really matter if he wants to go home, because he's never going to live in America or any country that will extradite ever again. The Obama Administration didn't side with him; Snowden's still wanted for treason.
-
Some people call him a traitor some people calling him a hero. What did you decide? Me: Traitor.
-
Perhaps they should let him back. He exposed the NSA for the greater good of society.
-
He did the right thing. He didn't expose anything that would harm any person, the military, anything like that. The Government is obviously claiming he did all these thing, but offer no proof. He IS a Patriot, and deserves to be back in his home country without fear of imprisonment. The right thing to do, is sometimes the hardest thing to do.
-
Snowden doesn't deserve the hate he's receiving. He is by no means a traitor. In fact, he should be considered a hero.
-
Snowden is an American Hero the likes of which hasn't been seen in decades. If he were to come home now he'd be tortured and put in prison for life, and that's just messed up.
-
inb4 obama wants to treat him like a war criminal and persecute him as one

Obama would most likely grant Snowden amnesty
Obama would have already pardoned him if he honestly is on Snowden's side. He has the sole executive privilege to do so but has not. That doesn't make sense.
-
Should have gone to Switzerland
-
He deserves to go before a court of law. Leaking government secrets and going on a tour of hostile powers suggests treason of the highest order.
-
-
What? He revealed US military/counter insurgency tactics! He deserves to be shot, regardless of the NSA shit.
-
No relationship with the Russian government? lolok. I applaud him for exposing the NSA spying bullshit, but for him to get involved with the Russians pisses me off a bit.
-
Although I personally admire Snowden. He is an enemy to the Illuminati.
