Trees/busted cement walls, etc. Not to the full extremity of Assassins Creed climbing, but just a general allowance to scale more than just stairs or hills.
I ask, because 1) I'm pretty sure we won't be able to, and 2) It generally isn't a part of the FPS genre -- for whatever reason (and if you'd like to elaborate your thoughts on why that is (Titan Falls wall running/vaulting/etc aside) that'd be cool to hear too).
Me: potshooting (potshotting?) from tree tops has always been a gaming fantasy of mine -- arrows from an Elder Scrolls tree (hasn't happened yet) bullets from an FPS/survival game (not yet either).

Edited by NerdyThird: 5/30/2014 5:42:00 AMClimbing seems fun, specially if it leads to a great scenery or a great spot to surprise the enemy.

Ah, Heck yeah.
-
I will get a horse and climb vertically up any obstacle that stands in my way, skyrim style!
-
heck yes, probably a good chunk of what I'll be doing with Destiny. Top of every building, search every corner, over the sun and under the water. Other than story, the exploring is the game for me. Sweet Group.

I would think it would be rather awesome

Vertical movement was a key part of Brink and the reason it remains one of my favorite FPS's. Too bad the rest of the game had so many issues.
-
I totally would if I could and I think if they did include that only hunters should be able to do it since they're the survivalist.

...of course

As long as it doesn't make Snipers to powerful...

Edited by Thinkcrown: 5/29/2014 4:25:20 PMI'd just like to add that I know you hold down the...uhh... the crouch button to slide I think? In future games, Bungie, you could -- I mean, only if you wanted to -- have the jump button be hold-down-able as well, for vertical climbing. You could even pull back into 3rd person (like in the Tower, or when using a nova bomb). It doesn't even seem like that big of a change from the rest of the game when in this context. You'd only have to make certain surfaces climbable, then set them up in rognagoblarggahg (or whatever your creator of worlds thing is called).

I want to clear mountains with several thousand bounds like in skyrim
-
No, cause like all video games faced with reality, you would die!
-
Yes, I love climbing in video games. I hope its implemented at least in a small way.
-
I usually try to climb everything anyways, regardless if the game let's me or not
-
I've seen kinds of special jump parkor spots in call of duty and I would definitely use it.
-
Climbing will be in Destiny. It's open world.
-
Absolutely, especially if they had destructible environments.

Edited by MistWave: 5/28/2014 2:39:07 PMA la tomb raider? Or you had something else in mind? Edit: I'm Totally in for climbing though.

You could climb trees in Turok on the N64. It would certainly make for some fun alternative routes.
-
1) Stairs* 2) That is one thing that would make the game absolutely EPIC. 3) (In case you missed it... yes.
-
Always down for some vertical turtling
-
Course isn't it always fun to walk over the ruins that once was there?
