So, I've had a Microsoft account for quite some time for Halo and all that jazz. However, I recently got a PS4, and I made a PSN account. While signing up for the Beta for Destiny, I made an entirely new Bungie account for my PS4. I would like to go about linking the two, but every time that I try to unlink one to link it to the other, it will not let me. It brings up an error message somewhere along the lines of "You cannot unlink an account that you are curretnly signed in to." Am I missing something? How would I be able to unlink an account if I'm not even signed into it?

Edited by Fraser: 5/27/2014 4:42:15 PMI have found a post from a few months back where someone ran in to this same problem, here's the solution by EZcompany2ndsquad: 1) determine which login methods you currently have 2) determine which ones you wish to keep for your new profile 3) Create a "dummy" or disposable login method (preferrably of a type that you don't have linked to your current profile) 4) Link that "dummy" login method to the current account that you intend to walk away from. 5) After you link said "dummy", sign out of the account you are using and sign in with the "dummy" account details, being most likely the google account. 6) After logging in, you can unlink the logins/accounts that you plan on keeping/using with your new profile. 7) Make sure that the account you are "walking away from" only has your new and disposable "dummy" account linked. 8) Use your new Bungie.Net account (with the proper linked methods that you want) and ignore the old Bungie.Net account & the disposable login that you created for this process.
