I have been a loyal fan of Halo since the original. Now that Destiny is almost around the corner I have one question to ask Bungie with all due respect. Why do you leave PC players out of Destiny? I had to sell my console cause I can't afford to pay money for a membership anymore on top of games and their fees. Customer appreciation I guess goes as far as the consoles go. To add insult further I loved MMO's for the longest time and you made a game that utilized pc assets (according to many)! The fact they can't bridge over to PC is sad. Bungie if you care about your customers please make a effort to make the bridge to PC. You left your roots and you refuse to return to your true origins. Consoles are dying in my opinion due to giant corporations taking advantage of game developers like you. I wanted to buy this game for pc for so long only to have to settle for a 360 copy that I can't afford to continue playing due to stupid memberships that Microsoft and Sony implement (and the fact I had to sell my console). Do your fan-base a favor and extend to the PC market. Its a brave new world right? It won't be complete without extending to all gamers instead of a select few.
If anyone agrees with this argument please reply or answer the Poll. I'm hurt by this and so should a lot of PC gamers out there.

First off im not a pc gamer, i never liked it and i don't see that changing, but objectively if they can afford it, ie. Severs personnel etc, they would expand their player base and profits plus just like ps doesn't cross over to xb it wouldn't cross to pc so i remain unaffected

After reading I say no. Who the -blam!- told you that their customers want a pc version? You dont speak for the comunity and its neither bungie's nor the community's problem that you cant afford membership.

If I were to make a guess (and it is just a guess), the publisher has decided that PC games are too frequently pirated and chose to not support the platform. I don't have any evidence, just a personal suspicion. I am most likely wrong, but it seems to me that the publisher would consider a PC version of the game to be a cause of "lost revenue when compared to the effort/cost required to write for that platform". Keeping it on 4 consoles and 2 networks, they can contain and manage that risk.
-
It's not that easy, they can't just instantaneously port to PC it would take a lot of time and money. Yeah it sucks for PC gamers that they will miss out on Destiny for the foreseeable future but that's the reality of things. Not every system gets every game and there are plenty of PC games that console players will never experience but it's something you have to deal with.

Don't care for pc I am happy they making it for console all the talk about consoles are dead guess what they still making games. For them and less on pc so guess what less pc games= pc games deing

Edited by Oak_Khan: 5/26/2014 6:11:17 PMNo I want them to be successful and make money. Releasing it on PC will be like making the game free

You know what's going to happen if it comes out on PC it will get its pants hacked off the first day

Edited by Tu Chocolate Caliente: 5/26/2014 10:02:56 PMAfter reading i selected no, i understand your point but many of your arguments are seriously stupid, the part when you say "that consoles are dying because of giant corporations trying to make money like you" was just wrong, every corporation is trying to make money and bungie isn't evil like you say it, a good example you could had used would be EA. Bungie already stated that working on a PC version will be complicated and they want to focus on consoles.

I voted "no" as well. There have been many games that have not come to consoles, or have left out one console or the other. I find it refreshing that a developer is concentrating on the console market for once for a AAA game. I also didn't like your comment about consoles dying, FYI they aren't dying, and in many ways are much more fun than PC's. Maybe Destiny will come to PC later.
-
PC will be full of hackers and ruining the game, so for you, "No"

Edited by Nemo: 5/27/2014 2:26:38 AMThe nice way to say it: No need to make Bungie stretch their resources any farther than for four consoles. The PS3 doesn't charge for membership, so you could look into that. Amazon sells 160GB models for about $130 used. The not-so-nice way to say it: Get a PS3 and quit your bitching. And your opinion is wrong: consoles aren't dying out any more than furries or pretty glass pipes are.

1. Buy a PS3 2. Quit whining 3. Play Destiny

This game should not be ported to PC. The PC ports of Halo were bad. Not to mention the fact that a computer powerful enough to run this game as well as an XBone or PS4 would cost $1000 unless you built it from components.

Edited by ELEMENTAL: 5/27/2014 12:20:19 AMHonestly, PC is just another platform for games to be played on, like Xbox, PlayStation, or the Wii. I don't see why so many are against it.
-
Edited by Sd Kfz 1824985: 5/27/2014 12:05:35 AMI say no, the game should be console exclusive, as there are a lot more PC exclusives than there are console exclusives. PC elitists would also start another ''the PC version is better'' thing and that would make a lot of people angry and upset, which would be understandable.
-
I could care less.

Edited by X9 SHOTGUN 9X: 5/26/2014 7:01:18 PMWhere is the "I dont care" option. Seriously those are important.
-
I voted 'No'. Not because I disagree, but because I didn't like your arguments.
-
Nah that's more work for them
-
Ofcourse the PC boys should be allowed to play Destiny.
-
I think it should eventually be made for PC as long as it doesn't take away from attention on the console versions. I'm an xbone player but I'd like everyone to get to enjoy Destiny.
-
Bungie have said that they don't have the resources to be able to implement for pc at the moment. With developing for 4 consoles however ps3 and xbox 360 are at the end of their life cycle and its only a matter of time before they are cut off from updates and new games once thst happens I expect Bungie to release for pc although it will be massively behind the console versions.
