Here are the confirmed facts: - All weapons fall under one of three categories: - [b]Primary:[/b] Rifles (Scout, Pulse, Auto), Handcannons - [b]Special:[/b] Shotguns, Fusion Rifles, Snipers - [b]Heavy:[/b] HMGs and Rockets - You can carry multiple weapons in your inventory, but you can only equip three at a time. One from each category. - Ammo availability and rarity varies from weapon slot to weapon slot. - As you defeat enemy combatants, they drop color-coded ammo drops that correspond to the three weapon slots.

Ok, we can carry three weapons at a time and they are primary, special and heavy. For example on an xbox controller you can switch primary and special just by tapping the Y button. To get to your heavy you need to hold down the Y button.
