Why do so many devout religious people hate gays so much? We know for a fact gays exist. We don't know God exists for sure. So you want to deny them rights in the off chance that he might get mad? What if he does exist, and he sent them to fix overpopulation? They say god could be any of us. What if he was born gay?
Why do they call it unnatural, when they accept a book "written thousands of years ago" in which a TALKING SNAKE tempts people with an apple to commit sin? Where a burning bush talks to a man? Where one man can walk on water, heal the blind, feed thousands with just a basket of food, and rise from the dead? What part of that is natural? You can say he did it because he was the son of God. Still doesn't make it any more natural. But you weren't there, you can't prove any of that is real. You can prove that gay people exist though. There's too much hatred out there. I'm not hating on religious people, I'm hating on the ones who hate gays. Or rather, I'm hating on their hatred for gays. Stop thinking it's them versus us. It's just us, my friends.
Edit:underlined and bolded an original part of my post for a few religious people who seem to think I am lumping everyone together
To reiterate the bold and underlined: I am not lumping all religious people together. I am merely stating an observation that most people who are homophobic are religious. I am well aware that there are religious people who are not homophobic and even like gay people
Also, who the hell necrobumped this?!

Edited by Morgan Freeman: 5/21/2014 2:38:50 PMJudaism condemned homosexuality because the Jewish people were an actual tribal population. The best way to grow and thus be able to better defend themselves from other tribes was to make sex solely about procreation. Since gay sex doesn't lead to procreation it was forbidden. Christianity basically took the Torah and called it the Old Testament. There's no direct mention of homosexuality in the New Testament, let alone a condemnation of it. And Christianity is based upon the New Testament. Christians that "hate" gays are ignorant of their own religion, and therefore not worth listening to.
